It is typical for Broadway musical performers to do cabaret and concert performances when they aren't in a show. Also, some like to paint, i.e. Lauren Molina.

Many teach dance/voice/acting on the side and/or inbetween shows.

I know we like to think of Broadway performers as being somehow more centered or balanced than us because they are performers, dancers, etc. But they do all the same things we do and hope to find inspiration in the meantime: hang with their loved ones and friends, look for love (or troll for sex), grocery shop, cook, enjoy hobbies, workout, train, watch bad tv, pet their dogs and cats, take their kids to school, bake cookies, masturbate, order chinese take-out, look for jobs, read magazines, enjoy an ice cream cone or slice of pizza, audition, plan vacations, clean their house (or procrastinate about cleaning). I think they find inspiration and beauty wherever they can and they are probably surpised, like most of us, when they find it. They are just like you and I, only they are trained actors instead of accountants, social workers, teachers, etc.
