Is anyone going?
I heard that they are not doing lotto. Is that true?
i am going on the 20th. I am quite excited. I saw it on bway but the tour reviews are great. I also adore jen simard.
I caved, got a ticket for the 22nd and made my bus reservation. I will then have all 4 casts of the show covered! NY, Boston (ex-SF), Chicago, and now the tour!

I won tickets on KYW...no one must have been entering the contest because I told my friends about it and they all won, too. Fourth row center!
Load in was today! The set looks great! Focus tomorrow.
Is anyone going to see it tomorrow?

I'm going to tomorrow night's show. It'll be my first time seeing the show, as I have never seen it on Broadway for some odd reason.
I hope you get picked!
I'll probably be at the back of the house.
My tickets for Sunday are Orch row A for the matinee, and Orch row B for the night show. Wasn't taking a chance that I wouldn't get in. And I hate sitting in the back.

Just got back from opening night. Chip was awesome!
Clifton Davis was there and he got Xerophthalmeology right!
He got out on ZuuZuu though.

Can anyone confirm that they are not doing a lottery? Or is there a lottery for the tour?
I don't think there is a lotto in Philly.
I saw the Philly bee last night. For those of you in the philly area, you can get half-price tickets NOW! you could go to the box office now and get half-price tickets, not for spelling bee shows today, but for the whole run
I saw Spelling Bee on Broadway in August, so this was my second time seeing it.....the biggest difference was that the Merriam Theater is a huge proscenium theater and the Circle-in-the-square theater is small and in the round....they did replicate the set as best they could...and of course it's the same staging
I thought the cast overall was really good. I personally did not feel the cast had as much energy as the Broadway cast, but I still found myself laughing hysterically at jokes that I knew were coming. None of the cast was BAD, but I thought everyone was PERFECT when I saw it on Broadway..The standouts in the Philly bee are Logan and William..it was crazy because the fourth audience speller (Clifton Davis) lasted a LONG time....they had to give him insane words to get him off (and he did a little too cocky about it....not gonna lie...i know he was a celebrity speller, but STILL)
so umm yeah...i guess that's my review...it's such a cute and funny show and i'm really glad i got to see it again (And for such great seats for half-price!!!)

Where did you seat and how much did you pay?
i got front row of the family circle for 20 bucks....and even though it sounds high, it's not and the seats were center and awesome!
