Do you think we would have to buy the CD there if we want to get it signed, or can we bring one that was already purchased? (I haven't bought mine yet and want to know if I should wait til then or get it when it is released.)
Does anyone know the answer to Cape's question about whether the signing is limited to CDs bought in the store on Friday? I went to a book signing there once and they didn't seem to care but I know sometimes they require the purchase to get on the autographs line.
Call Barnes and Noble and ask. I've done it in the past and they're happy to answer those kinds of questions. It tends to vary from one event to another.
Considering that the cd will have been on sale for a few days they probably won't care. I went to two book signings there last summer and they didn't care where the books came from or how many books you had to be signed for that matter.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

I just called Barnes N Noble and they said that if you want to get the CD signed, you do have to purchase it at the store that day and have the receipt. I'd assume you can still just watch the performance if you'd like to. They seat 160 people.
that just cannot be the case; too many people have pre-ordered theirs directly from PS Classics or even bought them at the theater.

Are you serious??? I already bought my CD through the PS Classics website...I'm certainly not going to buy another one just to get it signed. I'll show up anyway and try to get in the line somehow.
They'll probably check receipts on the line to get them signed, but you can just go and see the performance regardless. If enough people show up with CD's that they got elsewhere, maybe they won't enforce it?
I'm just going to see the performances, but I hope everyone who wants the get their CD's signed is able.
Yeah I was kind of surprised when the woman on the phone said that. I've been to a couple signings before and they had required the item to be purchased at the store, but it's always been on the day of release, not a while later.
I had this question about a booksigning a while ago, and I called Barnes and Noble. The person said you had to buy the book there. I called back later and spoke to someone else who said you didn't. So... heh.
Man, I'll be at Yale on Friday. So unfortunate. Not that I have the CR yet, anyway. :o(
