I thought Vanessa Redgrave was compltely brilliant, by the way.
I think we can now narrow down the potential winner to be between:
Raúl Esparza — Company Audra McDonald — 110 in the Shade Vanessa Redgrave — The Year of Magical Thinking Meryl Streep — Mother Courage and Her Children
"If you are going to do something, do it well. And leave something witchy."-Charlie Manson
I really think Meryl Streep should win. Her performance still lingers in my mind and it was breathtaking to watch one woman carry a show from start to finish without faltering once.
I wouldnt be surprised if Donna or Michael took this award...although I think it will be Raul or Vanessa!
I think the winner will be one of the following:
Raúl Esparza — Company Audra McDonald — 110 in the Shade Vanessa Redgrave — The Year of Magical Thinking Donna Murphy - LoveMusik, Follies Michael Cerveris - LoveMusik, King Lear
I couldn't have cared less about the character. Almost laughed with the "breakdown" while people around me were almost sobbing. Definitely one of those "did we just see the same show?" kind of moments.
SOOOOO many more deserving people were on that list. IMHO anyway.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
Well, I was right. I told everyone that an actor or actress from a straight play would win this year. (not on the board-out in the 'real world'!)
"A birdcage I plan to hang. I'll get to that someday. A birdcage for a bird who flew away...Around the world."
"Life is a cabaret old chum, only a cabaret old chum, and I love a cabaret!"-RIP Natasha Richardson-I was honored to have witnessed her performance as Sally Bowles.
WOOHOO COMPANY, JOURNEY'S END, SPRING AWAKENING! I'm glad they at least got those three right.
As for Schreiber, kind of disappointing, and UTOPIA was expected I know -- though hopefully the Tonys won't follow suit with those two.
