What's the deal with Access a Ride? I see them bringing people for clinic appointments all the time.
And I dunno, Corine. I understand the difficulties that come along with breaking an ankle (having had two in my lifetime...and one came complete with MRSA sepsis, if you want to talk about life-threatening...). But, and I say this with good intent, you are starting to define yourself by this one event in your life. It wasn't life-threatening; it was a painful and inconvenient injury. Rise to the occasion and move on. It's time.

I am glad you all think it is funny. I am still in a lot of pain and I thank Iffloat for visiting me and showing me that video of Snowball. When I went upstairs to the social room I met Powder a cockatoo just like snowball.
Access a ride is a great service that can help people get around the city when they have a hard time. It has been a service that has been a great help to me.
I am no longer in contact with Josh nor Brooke. Brooke went to New Lincoln with me when I was in the 6th grade. We don't talk anymore. That was my past. I did have a few celebs visit including Jared Bradshaw from The Jersey Boys Tour.

My god, it's a nursing home miracle! What are the chances that you see a video and RIGHT UPSTAIRS there's a bird just like the one in the video? I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that if I ever meet Iflit in person she happens to have a video clip of Alec Baldwin in a firefighter's uniform so I can head right to the mens room for a kneel and bob session.
I'm the only one who can pet him. Parrots bond with one person and become very possessive over them. And don't forget, I think he was abused by his first owner. thanks, Corine!
Powder is nice to everyone but I felt we sort of bonded. He seemed to like me maybe because I played and talked with him for hours. He seemed to read my mind. They told me not to pet him as he bites but he never bit me and would get closer with each time we played.
Corine, all kidding aside, I totally know what you're saying. The poor parrot indeed sounds like he's being neglected at that place. He's so grateful for the attention and love you gave him and it's obvious. It really is a shame that you can't take him home. If you knew for sure he was neglected there, you probably could report it and eventually get to adopt the bird.
So, you DON'T have any real, human friends then, correct?
