You want your ERA and WHIP to be low.

You are in solid postition.
A couple people just got REALLY unlucky, and I got lucky.
The whole league is certainly up for grabs still. I think the last couple teams could easily go 8-2 this week.

Posted: 4/10/06 at 2:33pmSo I am guessing that it is a bad thing that I only have 4 maybe 5 players playing today and my opponent has up to like 12.

Posted: 4/10/06 at 3:49pmNo, it doesn't really matter day by day. By the end of the week it usually evens out in terms of off days.

It can be an advantage if you have more players going on Monday's and Thursdays with are typically travel days for a majority of the teams.
In a Head-to-Head League, your team will square off in a weekly matchup against another fantasy team to see who can compile the best stats across a number of different categories.
A new weekly matchup begins every Monday and will consist of a set number of games based on your league's statistical categories. Each stat category counts as one game, with the win going to the team that finishes the week with the highest total in that category (the cumulative total after each Sunday's games).
So, if in a given week, your team hits more home runs than your opponent's, you would be credited with a victory. However, if your opponent's team ended the week with more saves than your team, you would be charged with a loss. If the two teams end up tied in a given category, each will receive credit for a tied game.
This weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, which will be used to determine standings and playoff seedings. These standings will be based on your team's overall winning percentage, which is calculated by taking your win total and adding 1/2 of your tie total and dividing the sum by the total number of games your team has played.
There is probably equal risk to reward for having a lot of guys going on a Monday. It could give me an early lead, or it could bury me in my ERA and WHIP categories.

Well, I couldn't fall victim to Roger Clemens being on the waiver wire any longer. The Astros reportedly offered him $18M to come back and pitch this year.
I am taking a chance. 3 months of Roger Clemens is better than 6 months of a lot of pitchers.
