I think you can show up late.

The total time depends on how much time everyone takes to pick.
If you don't draft be sure to pre-rank your players.

i did the pre ranking thing, in case (i had planned on being htere but a friend wants to go to red lobster, and I can't object).

I think the prerankings will just be used, and then when you get here you can start drafting "live"

I have no idea how to do that and not much time, as I have show tickets in 45 mins. If I don't pick anyone, will I be randomly assigned crappy players that no one else wants?

No you will randomly be assigned the best player (as ranked by yahoo) available when your position shows up. It also makes sure to draft the positions you need.

You just have no control, and can't adjust for injury, and who you actually WANT.

Yeah, you can come and go as you please from the draft room.

With a 14 team league with a large roster like this it will probably take about 2 hrs to complete. Maybe longer since it doesn't seem like many owners will be so the clock may tick down.

Come on the Draft is one of the best parts (I think)

I think that after a few rounds the computer figures out who isn't there and it goes quicker.

If the team is pre-ranked, I think it goes even faster.

Nope. Excitement is always fun.

I've been looking forward to it all day. It really makes me wish that I had a "serious" keeper league this year.

The computer realizes who's not here rather quickly and gives them 10 seconds to draft from then on, so the less ppl there are the quicker it'll go.
