Red carpet starts at 6 on the E! network, with the show on TNT and TBS (I believe) at 8. Dick Van Dyke will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

I figured I'd start the thread for our comments.

Best Ensemble, for me, is tough. I want to say SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. LES MIS has an edge because of the singing, but there are weak links in the cast. LINCOLN and SLP do not.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Good for her. I think the girl wants that Oscar and will push through to make the appearances.

I hope she wins! She was electrifying in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. I predict that will win Ensemble, I think LES MIS has too many weak links to win, pretty much every other nominated movie has an all around brilliant group of people doing amazing work (well, not sure about Dev "can't act" Patel in BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL). Lead actress is too close to call but I'm gonna go with Jennifer Lawrence. Supporting actor is the most exciting race in the Film categories, I imagine Tommy Lee Jones is taking it but wouldn't be surprised to see Robert DeNiro show up here. Lead actor and supporting actress are not even worth discussing.

Did you hear the laughs when they showed Tommy Lee Jones in the film? I don't know if it was how he looked in that wig or that he frowned at the GG's. I'll say he looked hysterical in that wig!

Alec Baldwin wins Best Actor in a Comedy Series. For the 8TH TIME in this role. Has that ever happened before at any awards show -- someone winning for the same role that much?

I just have to say I hate Sigourney Weaver's dress so much. It looks like someone with no sewing skills put it together.
