20th Century Fox 2013-2018 film schedule

I was pretty shocked by how much I liked "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," so I'm looking forward to the sequel.

I was under the impression that the first Percy Jackson movie was considered an underperformer, so I'm a bit surprised that they are indeed planning on filming the second book.

The other day on Facebook, Hugh Jackman posted a new pic of himself as Wolverine for that upcoming movie and OH EM GEE - he's even more muscular than usual. It's glorious!

Ehhhhh... Not too impressed with Matt Reeves. I think keeping Rupert Wyatt would have been the wise choice. Give me the competent technician over the faux-visionary. Rise of the Planet of the Apes had no right in being as good as it was.

The Wolverine movie is a sorta sequel to the Gavin Hood-directed film that Fox prefers people not remember (except for the ten of us who do want a Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool film). Aronofsky was originally considered for the sequel but James Mangold can do action- he just needs a good script.

No doubt they were doing another X-Men and this was a Comic-Con announcement which I believe was just overshadowed by the Marvel Studios/Disney announcements of Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I think Jennifer Lawrence rising as a legitimate bankable actress and Michael Fassbender's equally rising Q ratings you just knew they were moving toward a sequel with the swinging 60s/spy caper thing going. Matthew Vaughn better stay on as the director. He is currently doing Kick-Ass 2 (which hopefully stays away from the source material as much as possible).

I'm SOO glad he's back at the helm--and I hope they're faithful to one of the best X-Men story arcs...

As mentioned, Percy did underperform domestically, but did well internationally and I've read DVD sales were good and have actually remained strong--as has the book series. So I guess it makes sense to go with them, I know I read somewherre that characters from it were very popular kids costumes last, and this (so far) Halloween. They should drop Chris Columbus ASAP...

Cannot wait for the new X-MEN, so happy to see jennifer Lawrence is now a bonafide star so I'm excited to see how much better this one does. And oh my God, so excited about Bryan Singer, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen coming back! It's gonna be amazing.

That does make me more interested. I loved Cloverfield! Just watched it again recently and STILL love it. One of my all-time favorite monster movies.

Oh, nice! There were rumors about him not getting along well with Singer during X2 shooting, so I didn't really have any hope he'd ever want to come back to the franchise.

I agree with the earlier post about "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". I walked into the theater thinking I am going to hate this movie (I still had horrid memories of Tim Burton's remake of the original "Planet of the Apes"). I loved the film and after seeing it in the theater ended up watching it twice on Netflix.

I just want to know if Sabretooth could make it in the film. They have Azazel there and since Lawrence is back, I wouldn't be surprised if Mystique is at the center of the film. Her lineage was a major part of the original films, might as well include the two fathers. And frankly, I just want Liev Schrieber to return. His Sabretooth was the best part in the Wolverine film.
