Can't believe we have to wait a whole week for the next ep...
Do you guys watch the scenes from next week? For some reason, all my friends leave the room. I don't see what the big deal is, it's not like they ever give away too much.

I always watch the scenes from next week. I like getting that little taste of what will happen. Last night, I was watching and my roommate (who had never seen the show before) was like "uh, they just gave everything away in the promos." I could only shake my head and say, "if you think that's everything, you've got a lot to learn."

Ok, does anyone else think Jack and Audrey should just run away and get married now?
She is much less annoying and they belong together, not him and that curly red haired whats her face
and I am so glad that they are finally realizing that guy in the white house is up to no good, he was starting to bother me

I really had to applaud the writers with regards to Spencer (Spenser?) - when the White House guy told the evil terrorist that he had someone on the inside at CTU, I thought to myself "here we go, another mole...can't these guys think of anything new?"
But this time, the mole actually isn't "evil" - in fact, I even felt sorry for him. Great spin on a potentially overused theme.
And I agree, Audrey hasn't been annoying, but then again she also hasn't done much. I'm holding off on forming a new opinion of her for this season. I do agree though that Jack doesn't belong with that other woman.

I am like, FLIPPING OUT over this show...it's driving me absolutely bonkers I am so hooked.
It's crazy emotional, I get misty about once every episode :0)
These writers are the masters of the cliffhanger, HA.

I agree JACXR71 - I liked that this wasn't the typical "mole at CTU." Nice twist on the story! Although that could be Spenser's cover...you never know with these insane writers.
I also like that 24 is tying up ends within an episode (unlike my other favorite show, LOST, which leaves you hanging for weeks on a cliffhanger). 24 is brilliant at finishing up one nailbiter and getting you immediately hooked on the next one.
I have also decided that President Logan, not Derrick, is the new Kim.
In terms of the Golden Globes though - as much as I love Kiefer, I have to say Hugh Laurie deserved the award just as much.

I sure hope the writers think of something to make Logan a hero this season. I hate that he's neither a good villian or hero. He's just pathetic.
I think that Connie Britton is luminously beautiful.
So is Kiefer! :)
My only question is why did the assasin (sp?) not kill Tony? Wasn't that the original goal?

I think the goal was to kill the people close to Jack so Jack would come out of hiding...now he's out of hiding they don't need to kill them they are focused on killing Jack now...that's my guess anyway...
Love this show and can't wait til next week. I'm hoping Spencer isn't a "mole" and just a victim of the bad side...
Loving Chloe this season, never liked her til now...
Still not into Audrey, don't really pay enough attention to her though, she's a character I can take or leave.

So what did people think? I was worried that they had wrapped up all the loose ends and it was only the 6th episode. Silly me...
Loved the scene with the knife/eye...

Oh wow I tried to make myself watch but I couldn't even look I had to close my eyes...I'm a wimp. I thought the episode was just ehh, not really one of those at-the-edge-of-my-seat type things, but the ending was very good. The writers of 24 know what they're doing.
And I must note that Jack Bauer is God.
*edit* I have a prediction for next week too. If you saw next week scenes at the end when there was someone hiding behind the couch or chair, I think it's his daughter. What do you guys think?

I dunno, the person looked male to me...but who knows?
All I know is that I also loved the knife/eye scene...I actually screamed out loud just a bit :0)
I just love how all of these things seem to start to resolve and then it all just gets BIGGER...brilliant, I tell you!
#94re: 24 fans
Posted: 1/31/06 at 12:16amYeah, looked male to me, too. I've been racking my brain to think about who it could be, but I got nothing. Can't wait for next week!

Another amazing episode. What I love most about this show are the twists and turns. You would have thought Walt's involvement would have been discovered much later in the season, but no, it's discovered in the first six hours.
I had to laugh last night when they were showing Diane and Derek being released. It was like 12:30 in the afternoon and look at what happened to them for the day already. On days I don't work, I sometimes don't get UP til 12-12:30.
I've always loved the character of Aaron, and last night was a treat to see him be the hero.

I love the season so far....
The hand could be Kim's bc Elisha Cuthbert is listed on imdb "Kim Bauer (2001-2004, 2006). I really hope imdb is mistaken bc I can't stand Kim.
Also, here's a Jack Bauer fact for ya....

Sort of like Jamey from season 1. The first "mole" just eventually leads to the bigger ones.

Last night's episode was ok. So Kim isn't with Chase anymore?
Re: Lynn and his sister - what's with this trend? Michelle's brother, Erin's daughter, Lynn's sister - there's a requisite screwed-up relative in every season!

I would guess the messed-up relative is to give the character more depth. Lynn's been pretty one-dimensional so far, so I guess showing him helping his sister is a way to see what makes him tick.
One complaint: Logan has to do SOMETHING to make him gain the audience's and Jack's respect. His character is SO unlikable. Palmer was a great character because even when his choices weren't the greatest, he acted with dignity.
