beware marauding drunks with sensitive ears

That reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me on a train near Svetlogorsk. I was on a crowded train and a man sitting next to me was in a drunken stupor. I paid no mind as he appeared to be drifting in and out of sleep. Suddenly out of nowhere he punched me in the stomach. It hurt, but I was more surprised than anything. People around me took my side and started scolding the man. One man offered me his place on another bench and he sat by the drunk.

Several minutes later the drunk, somewhat retaking possession of his wits came over to me, got on his knees, put his hands together as if in prayer, bowed to me and apologized. Then he started kissing my feet. People on the train pulled him away from me and there was no further problem after that.

I was told that if I reported that to the militia (police) one of two or three things could result. They may say "What do you expect us to do about it?" or else they might go beat the man. (And I had seen that happen once in a different situation with a different drunk who was bothering a woman. They beat him before throwing him in the back of their truck. Punching him to the ground and kicking him in the head several times.) Oh, Mother Russia!

SCARY!
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Yeah, sorry to hear about that, Bobbybubby. There are some crazy-ass muthafukkas riding the bus in Seattle.

BobbyBubby-that's terrible! I love Seattle, but I've never taken the bus there. It's such a civilized beautiful city, in my eyes. I didn't realize your buses were peppered with freakazoidal folks.

I'm glad you're all right, though.

I suppose it could have happened anywhere.

I'm so sorry...people are pigs.

I wont even make a peanut joke.

Am I the only one who read Bobbybubby's recently deleted alleged suicide note? Does anyone know him?

I saw it too. I'm assuming the mods and a few concerned posters are PMing him.

Bobby, you can't post something like that and expect people to automatically take you seriously, but we do care. If you're serious, you need to call a helpline NOW.

Anyone who talks about suicide needs professional help, whether they are going to actually do anything or not.

This is not the place to get that help.

Then maybe, if you're seeing someone, you're just not seeing the right person. It's not uncommon to go through several therapists before finding the right one. And posters who have responded in earnest do not think you're joking.

Bobby, I think you posted because you want help. And I don't think any of us are qualified.

I just PM-ed Bobbybubby and he said he's heading over to his parent's house which is a very good thing. So don't call the police, he won't be at his house anyway. He also wanted to apologize to you all for upsetting you which I imagine he'll do in person once he's back online.

Look, we all on this board send out prayers to sick family members, pets, etc. Lets send em out for Bobbybubby, okay? The guy is hurting and really not doing well.

I just saw this whole thing -- thanks, Borstal, for being supportive. And I agree. Good thoughts are definitely coming from my way. Best to you, Bobby.
