I am so printing that out and using it for my dvd cover.
This is what I got when I ordered the dvd:

How is the quality of that dvd, Taz? I have a copy I recorded from MGMHD and it looks pretty decent, so I've generally thought it's not worth it for me to buy the one they are offering online.

considering that it's made to order I would say it's excellent, Phyl. They cleaned up the print so a lot of noticable blotches that were on the VHS are gone.* And the spiffed up the sound too.
In fact, I got it after a discussion on here made me curious. I love it!

I'm in love with that green dress on the left.
Stock, it's kind of like that famous Keira Knightley wore in "Atonement."
I have never heard of this.
^ Yet rumor has it you're in it.
Your ****ting me.
Why does the lez gotta be rocking the leather? She was hardly the Joan Jett type. I love this movie.
You can really see the facial resemblance between Shirley Knight and Kaitlin Hopkins.

DAME, I can't believe you don't know The Group! For years it was hard to find, and it's still not that easy. You can order it from the site Taz got his (I think they burn them to order). I recorded my copy of MGMHD. If you get that channel, they usually show it a couple of times a year.
This poster is similar to one of the ones Mr Midwest linked, but I like at the bottom how it says "THIS PICTURE IS RECOMMENDED FOR ADULTS"
Showtime, I believe, was running it in rotation five years or so ago. My mom saw it and told me to watch out for it. I just loved it. Very ahead of its time.
I do get the MGM HD channel so I will look out for it.

It was on a few times back in March (that's when I recorded it) and it was on there again not too long ago. They seem to show it pretty frequently.
True story - the day after I adopted Kringas was the day I watched this for the first time. At one point I paused it and left the room. Suddenly I heard Kringas barking like a banshee. I came in and he was staring straight at the tv (which was paused on a close of Joan Hackett) barking like mad. I think he thought she was really in the room. :)
Movie tie-in edition of the novel featuring the cast from the film in each petal of the flower - - - and a high-larious description.
Sex, interior decor, cooking and contraception?!!! What a combo! Funny they forgot to mention lesbianism. LMAO!!!

That's because it's a third-act surprise!
I actually just read the book for the first time a few weeks ago. The movie adaptation is surprisingly faithful.
That's good to hear that the film is faithful to the novel. I have to get it and read it. I'll make it my last book for this summer.
I was hoping it would be available for Kindle, but I think I will order a copy and have it shipped to my moms. I have more than enough to keep me occupied until November.
I'm really surprised that this movie isn't more well known.

It a good read, although it's kind of hard on the eyes after a while, because there are very long pargraphs that just gone on and on. Even when different people are talking. So it's like, Kay said, "Blah blah blah." Harald replied, "Blah blah blah." "But blah?" "Blah de blah." After a while it's hard to figure out who the hell is talking.

Also, Mary McCarthy expects you to have a working knowledge of a zillion random French phrases, which were probably better known to Vassar Girls in the thirties.
