GYPSY Previews - most important question Dec 5

Thank you Morosco. I appreciated hearing that. The recent Funny Girl revival did a pretty good job in making people focus during the overture . There was the welcoming announcement by Harvey setting the tone. And it was pleasantly amplified .

I would think 4DX would be great fun, but perhapstoo distracting for a first viewing?"

We went Tuesday night as well. Horrible direction. Horrible mess of a concept. Bad casting. And a screeching unbearable Albin. Someone needs to step in and stop Kevin. He is going to ruin his voice forever. Cheyenne has a gorgeous voice. And George Salazar was fun to watch. This is a big misfire for the playhouse. I also want to add in my edit.. I kind of felt mocked watching this show. It did not serve me well in this ultra sensitiv

Is Thomas Kail still working on Fiddler on the Roof? Sep 24

A musical film musthave a star to get funding and attract an audience. There isn't a single live action film on this top 25 list that didn't have a star. And in this case if that star is not a Jew, there would be a whole lot of screaming that no studio wants to deal with. FIDDLER's not going to sell on its own.
They put out a press release with Kail's name because he was signed on, pre-Amazon MGM probably paid him a little money, and for a short time the project might have seemed real before it became not-real. And MGM wanted to have a bunch of projects in the hopper while they were trying to get sold.
Probably better off leaving FIDDLER alone."

I think you are right. I wouldn't mind knowing that there is a new Fiddler movie on its way. Nothing will touch the original film production. To me it is perfection. But is a good time for this story of prejudice, tradition, family and humanity to try and reach and comfort more people. Is this still happening? I think someone had said it is for max?

For me It was dull. Intros read from prompters. No imagination or concept into putting the evening together. Patrick Wilson Jon Briones, and Skylar Astin were stellar. The women didn’t fare as well. The French Cosette did not hit with me. Evening ended by 930 ish.

Yep. I remember the days when you used to have to write away for Broadway tickets, list alternate dates, and send a self addressed envelope. Going to a Broadway show was a big event. I don't care what people are wearing by the way. If I am in the city in the summer and go to the theater I dress for comfort.
