Yes, he was. they were doing a segment about him and his father just today.

I sure hope Zoey isn't dead and then they find that thing in his hand so he's the hero. I don't see where his story line could go from here but I'd hate to see them kill him off, too. How many would that be, 5 in a few weeks?

They revealed it today? I tivo it and watch it in the morning before work...gotta say, I was away for almost 2 weeks and not too much happened.

How bad an actress is Kendall? That scene from yesterday with the bad New York accent in Vegas...OY!

I agree-but I don't even like the actor who's portraying him besides the writing. Now who even cares about seeing that old coot Cambias?

The only thing interesting on the show now is Babe and all those connections.

Dottie, we haven't seen him yet. Just the empty coffin Zach had dug up. Well, it wasn't exactly empty. It was filled with large rocks.

That motive sounds as good as anything I could come up with. Though from flashbacks/Zach's memories, it doesn't seem like Cambias Sr. loved his wife much.

The first victim was Simone. Then was Erin, then they tried Danielle (who lived), then Dixie (but it was supposed to be Babe). Am I right, girly?

BTW-when and how are they getting rid of Brooke?

Yep, that's right. Simone was the first. She was engaged to Ethan, Zach's son.

Yeah, Dixie ate the pancakes that were meant for Babe.

The only victims that make any sense, are Simone and Kendall since they're the ones that have the close ties to Zach.

I have a feeling she's gone already. I don't remember seeing her at Dixie's funeral. If she was still around, I can't imagine she'd miss that. I think she's gone without any fanfare/explanation.

O.K. Against my better judgement (since I don't want to see spoilers), I went over to the AMC news on soapcentral.com to look her up (spoilers successfully avoided). Seems her last air date was December 20. She joined the show in 1976, which was 6 years after the show started.

I think the only originals left are Joe and Erica. Adam didn't show up until the 80's, Myrtle and Palmer didn't show up until the late 70's, I believe. Even Tad wasn't around in the very beginning.

Wasn't her mom known as a bug or something? The Black Spider or Black Widow?


ETA: Nevermind. Just did a google search. She was known as Cobra.

Do we know if Brooke will be back at all? I don't see how they can just let her fade away. They never do that.

There was this whole big storyline. I think Brooke was a reporter already and there was some big drug pin known as Cobra. Turned out Cobra was her mother.

If they haven't done anything by now, I'd be surprised if they do. It's been two months already. It's a shame, after being on the show for such a long time. She wasn't even mentioned at the funeral. Joe at least made a comment that Ruth wanted to come, but he wouldn't let her cause she was sick.

Barr, Brooke to Simply Vanish from Pine Valley

After nearly 30 years with All My Children, Julia Barr (Brooke English) makes her final on-screen appearance this week. With that exit, fans are rounding up the boxes of Kleenex and preparing for a torrent of waterworks as All My Children no doubt prepares for one of those emotional flashback montages.

Well, you can continue to round up the tissues, but it's not for the reason you suspect.

It's a decision that will surely outrage fans even more than when they learned that All My Children executives had opted not to renew Barr's contract. There will be no farewell for Barr's Brooke. She will simply "vanish" from town like so many other scrapped characters before her.

"I had assumed that I would have a final scene regarding my character's departure - certainly with Tad or Jamie, or even a last jab at Erica," Barr said in a statement in her official fan newsletter. "I think the fans would have liked the chance to say goodbye to Brooke and to have had some closure with the character many have known for 30 years. I know it is what I would have wanted. However, it was not the decision that was made for whatever reason."

An All My Children spokesperson has confirmed to soapcentral.com that "there is no exit scene" planned for Barr.

Instead, Barr will be seen as a mourner at Simone Torres' funeral. After that, she will no longer appear on-air. The rumor mill is now grinding into overload as fans try to figure out exactly what that means for Barr, Brooke and All My Children.

It is increasingly unlikely that Brooke will be killed off by the serial killer. Without Barr as a cast member, it would be difficult to rationalize AMC's recasting of the role only to have the character murderer. However, it would certainly not be out of the question to recast the role at a later time. Soap operas often will recast roles when a performer is unavailable - for whatever reason. A recast allows the return of a character and, in the cast of recasting a role that has been played by a long-term veteran player, the opportunity to bring in a new performer at a much lower salary. That is becoming increasingly important in these days of budget-tightening.

Other options would be to have All My Children address Brooke's exit later and offer a video montage at that time. And a final option would be to have Barr return at a later date when she and AMC can come to terms on a new contract.

In the meantime, Barr will exit All My Children on December 20th.
