Final verdict

If we DIDN'T have the annoying "boy and girl" rule, I'd say:
Ricky
Danny
Anoop



Since there HAS to be a girl in there though, I'd have to go with:
Ricky
Alexis
Danny


but I don't know that that'll be how it goes down, because Anoop has a pretty significant fanbase. So unfortunately, it'll probably be:
Danny
Alexis
Anoop

but Ricky is a sure shot for wildcards, because he's great :) And actually it's not THAT unfortunate because I really do love Anoop, and think he can be pretty fantastic


but yeah, HOW IN THE HECK WAS TATIANA PRETTY ALRIGHT WHILE ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE SUCKED?

luckily there were a few redeemers, but..not many

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Did I miss something? I'm trying to figure this out. This is the first 12 out of 36. We're choosing the final 12. Why are only 3 moving on?

Anyway, since his first audition, I've felt this is Danny's competition to lose. I liked Danny, Ricky and the oil rig guy. None of the girls wowed me. Anoop was ok, but I thought it was a forgettable performance. Tatiana was better than I expected, but not great. She was vocally uneven.

Our household consensus: Alexis and Danny should advance, then one out Anoop, Ricky, or Michael. I'd choose Ricky, and send Anoop and Michael to the wild card night.

I personally liked Alexis, Ricky and Danny tonight. I know people are tired of hearing about Dannys wife but I absolutely love his voice. When he does the raspy rock thing I get goosebumps. (Not David Cook goosebumps but goosebumps nonetheless). I liked Michael Sarver too, but he didn't pick a great song this time.
Tatiana actually sang somewhat decent tonight. As long as she just sings and doesn't open her mouth, she is almost tolerable. I still do not want her to go through though lol.
According to Dialidol...its Alexis, Danny and Michael in the top 3 positions. So we shall see. The guy I am waiting for is Kris Allen, I have no idea what group he is in but I really liked his voice. He got hardly any exposure though, so I doubt he will go through, which is a shame.

I have RSD...but it doesn't have me!!!!

I missed the first half hour of the show. I came in when they were critiquing Alexis. Did they mention the Joanna thing at the beginning? Anyway- from what I saw, Tatiana did pretty good. I think the only reason she went a little off-pitch was because she was trying to make it her own. Her voice did sound really nice thought. I didn't see her first audition so I wasn't aware she was from PR. Gotta give her props for REALLY marketing herself though. I saw the recap of the first couple of singers. That little time I saw of the first girl doing Elvis annoyed me so I can only imagine how the whole thing went! The first couple of guys had nice voices but didn't seem memorable. I wish I could have seen Alexis- she seemed like she did a good job in the recap I saw. Personally- I couldn't believe how really bad some of the singers were and how bad their swong choices were. I thought Robert Downey, Jr.- I mean Danny- did a great job!

I also truly believe they put Tatiana in the group that would give her the best shot at getting in the top 12. They need some sort of distraction during The Danny Show to give people something to talk about.

Well, Tatiana has the support of VFTW, so she could go far. While Tatiana sang her song well last night, Alexis was clearly the best female on the stage.

BTW, Carly Smithson and Michael Johns are supposedly singing a duet on the tonight's result show. Seems like they worked with the singers during Hollywood week, but wound up on the cutting room floor, so the producers are bringing them on to sing tonight.

(no seriously, I hesitate in jumping the gun too much in my hopes that he'll be great, but I DO think that he's got some real things going for him right now. Namely that he's got so much stage experience that nerves should not be a problem for him one bit like they were with so many last night. Also, he's by far the best technical vocalist, and everyone last night seemed to fall short vocals. Oh and also- he's interesting, and unique from the pack! haha)




Oh and YAYYY for the Michael and Carly duet tonight!! I lurve them <3

I think last night was basically a kareoke party.

I have to say that even though Tatiana is nuts, in my opinion she was the best girl last night.

Alexis Grace was fine but not great. I don't buy her.

I think the 3 to go through tonight will be Anoop, Danny and Tatiana.

I could also see Ricky getting some votes. Everyone else was a snooze fest.

Ricky and Danny were great. Noone came close to their vocals. I am not buying the Alexis hype. I thought Tatiana was just as good, I hate to say, and neither was great. Anoop was third in my book, but still nowhere near Ricky and Danny. It's a shame Ricky wont be in the top 12. I dont think he's enough of a character for the judges to want to keep him, even though the kid can truly sing.

Going through should be:

Ricky
Alexis

Probably will go through:
Danny
Alexis
Tatiana (Anoop is the spoiler for her.)

If Adam stays away from Cher, I think he'll be fine. I love his voice, but thought that Cher rendition was dreadful. If he's smart he'll stay away from all ballads the first week, so he doesn't sound too theatrical.
