I voted for Danny a bunch of times last night. His "Hero" brought tears to my eyes. I am thrilled that he made it to the top 12.

The show was very weirdly paced tonight. Did anyone really think that Danny was NOT going to make it? If they wanted to create suspense for the last half hour, they should have kept Tatiana and Alexis as the last 2. And I actually felt kind of bad for Tatiana that the producers so clearly want her to have a live meltdown.

I would have liked to see Rickey go through, but hopefully he'll be a wildcard.

I was happy with the 3 that advanced.

I would have much preferred Anoop over Michael. Despite the tears, Michael comes off, at least to me, as kinda thuggy. Plus the "sissy" comment I saw on MSNBC's website relating to his co-workers reaction to his tears kind of turned my stomach.

I think Randy, Anoop, and Tatiana are all headed to the wild card round, and I'd be shocked if Anoop doesn't eventually make it to the top 12.

I agree that there was no suspense in the end, especially since Seacrest had already said that Michael had only beaten Anoop by about 20k votes. So, for Danny to not have been chosen, that would mean that Tatiana, Alexis, Michael, and Anoop all received more votes that he did.

I was not pleased that Michael Sarver made it in. I don't see anything special about him. I was hoping for Anoop.

I thought that Carly Smithson and Michael John's performance was great. I thought Carly sounded amazing. I hope she has an album coming out soon.

What a terrible show. Luckily I only had it on as background most of the time. The pace WAS odd. There was no suspense at all, once Alexis and Michael were announced, all of those people still sitting there with Danny knew they were done...even Tatiana knew. I agree that she is mostly acting this part as much as that Nick guy.

Ricky was robbed...and dialidol called it.

I didnt care for the sissy comment either, or the comparison between Alexis and Kelly Clarkson...not even close.

Can someone explain to me how the wild card is going to work?

Are there only 36 people in these rounds? 3 groups of 12? and 9 people get in at first? Then will there be a wild card round to vote 3 additional people through?

For some reason, I thought there were going to be four groups and 12 and three get in from each group...

Could someone clarify? Thanks!

the first three groups (all 36) we vote for 3 to move on. The fourth group will be people that the judges bring back to sing and they will choose three of them.


Im glad we wont be seeing Danny for a few weeks. I need a break from him. Next week the competition looks good.

I'm okay with the three chosen. I totally get the Michael thing. I think he has loads of charm and charisma, especially when performing country. I'd pay to see him perform. I can't say the same for Anoop.

I've been watching Anoop vids on youtube where he sings with the UNC Clef Hangers. He's got great stage presence when he's with his buds.

I don't think there's going to be public voting on the wildcards, but I think there will be more singing. I think the judges will bring back some of those cut (probably Anoop, Tatiana, and Randy from this week), have them sing again, and then announce the judges' selections the next night.

It's...flawless. I really reaaally hope that he does something along those lines on the show at some point (heck, maybe he could even do that specific song!). I know he loves the big huge vocals, and he's GREAT at that, but. Good LORD his voice is just so gosh dang PRETTY!! It's like..a combo of Gavin Creel, Jonathan Groff, and Clay Aiken tone wise. Ridiculously soothing. So I want him to show THAT off!

But yeah, basically, he keeps impressing me more and more

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

He's seriously a major major cutie, and if that Over The Rainbow is any indication, talented to boot!

I'm hoping for Adam, Kris, and Matt to all do super well on Wed, and then Adam can take highest male vote getter. Either Matt or Kris could take third, and then whichever one of them is left can be a sure shot for wildcards.

Adam's clue is confusing. If he is singing 'Cryin they could be referring to Faith Hill having a hit with that name as well as Aerosmith, but the clue makes it sound like it's the same song covered by a woman and a man. And 'wistful ballad'? That kind of scares me. He needs to stay away from Wistful for now

At first I heard he was singing Cryin' but then I heard a spoiler that he was singing something else, which is a song I can't stand so I'm hoping it's wrong.

It is sung by a group with a girl lead singer.
