Eric - Abercrombie does that as well. They are called greeters and are usually models. I know the Chicago store uses Ford models. Around Christmas you can get a pic with them for $1!

And Stockard- they were selling thongs at the kids store with inappropriate things written on the crotch. For example, one pair said eye candy on the crotch. So disturbing!

They also had padded string bikinis in the store. One million moms went crazy over that one.

I think A&F is much more concern about physique than beauty. I've seen some very unattractive people working there, but they've all been either skinny girls or muscular guys.

I think it's more that A&F defines beauty as physique and nothing more. The marketing philosophy is sadly uncommon in the fashion industry. It's mostly just an unspoken rule. The mistake is saying it, especially with such smug arrogance and pride. And there is absolutely NOTHING special about A&F clothes to be held with such regard. And if I want to see hot models, I can find about a zillion other sources. A&F may have been around since 1892, but I see no reason for them to exist any more.

Now if Allsaints does something stupid, I will pretty distraught. I freaking LOVE the store in Chicago. I can't afford anything there that isn't on sale, but I love it.

I have this one friend who is overweight, but she's gorgeous. Gorgeous skin, beautiful hair and always extremely well dressed and accessorized. You don't even notice her weight really. I think it's ridiculous that A&F is so concerned with their employees weight.
