Isn't the human race genetically programmed to reproduce? It's funny that so many here believe people want biological children for selfish, narcissistic reasons, when really, it's the way we were made. Well, most people. I'm not, and obviously most on this thread don't seem to be, but the majority of the world is, and it's a biological reason.

I agree with you Kellybean, and that's why so many people will go to almost any lengths to have a child. There's a natural instinct in humans to reproduce and raise offspring. All animals are like that, I suppose.

And you're right, I'm not one of them!

Not everyone is - it's nothing to be ashamed of! There are too many people as it is

that's right, Misschung, and I'm not the least bit ashamed. Did you read the thread on jail time for abortions on the second page?

Yeah, I did, and I know you're not re: Adoption vs. A Child of 'Your Own' I just know that there are lots of people who can make you feel that way, and it's so annoying! Sheesh, there's enough people procreating

Sometimes I doubt if I'll even see a policy set up with actual ramifications in my lifetime. But you never know.

You're going to make abortions illegal - so then, what are the consequences? Forcing women to have kids? Or allowing them to have an abortion before putting them behind bars? Well then who is performing the abortion? Someone serving a prison sentence that's dependent on how many abortions they are performing?

I could get into my own views on it but I don't want to open that bag of worms on this thread re: Adoption vs. A Child of 'Your Own'
