Liotte, I wouldn't survive one minute on a Wicked only board. The grammar alone would cause me to have a seizure the likes of which have never been seen before.
I post on those adult threads, and they are great. It's weeding around the others that make it more difficult to deal with on the board.
Even all the new Les Miz threads, which is a show I love, are too much right now. Wicked and Rent were horrible, and I have seen those multiple times.
All those people who start threads saying "Post reviews of ___ here" just so they can start a thread are just as bad.

Interesting read on Adult Board from ages ago--June 25, 2005
Something else I have noticed. Sometimes when people post threads that have already been discussed or really are pointless, people reply telling them that. Maybe just ignoring it instead of having 10 replies saying things like "use the search feature" would help end the problem. Just a suggestion on that part of the complaint.

Sometimes that I feel that I'm categorized in that group. =/
Nope, I'm totally not a teen. Nosiree. *pops bubble gum while she is texting a friend*
Sometimes I mention BWW to my friends. They often question the level of drama and insanity here. Whenever I tell them, they always act suprised about the level of maturity here.
I'm just sayin'...

"It's those 14-17 year old teens that are the most obnoxious, from what I've gathered."
I hate to bring up old Posts, but I am 14 and don't believe that I am that obnoxious. I may put "lol" alot sometimes, but I think I have done better since when I first became a member of BWW.
It was not meant to be all-inclusive, RentLuvr.
And "a lot" is 2 words.

Sorry liotte, it's a habit I've been trying to kick.
There seems to be a lot of exceptions. So who exactly fits the profile of "teens that make liotte cringe"?

Threadjack- But RENTLuvr... you're 14? I thought you were in college or something!

Oh well thank you DramaDork, I get that sometimes.
I tend to think everyone is older then they really are on this site. I, myself, am only 15. Well, 16 in three weeks.
I am not naming any names Marlene.
The ones that are truly cringe-worthy have not posted on this thread.
Liotte, I know exactly what you mean. I have nothing against most of the young'uns that post frequently on here and enjoy what many of them offer to the conversation, but sometimes some of them are a little much. There are times when I am pretty sure I am the only person posting who can legally buy a drink.
*cough* AIM chats *cough*
Heh. I have been in the AIM chat a total of 4 times and been the only person over 20 there.
It's kinda cold outside...
i miss the aim chats when bso and i started doing them on that day when the boards were down for a while
Aigoo, I changed the thread title so it wasn't directed at teens anymore.
And I don't judge newbies based on their age, I judge based on the quality (and sometimes quantity, for those trying to post as many new threads as they can in a day) of their posts.
I know you changed it. And I'm not blaming you for anything here, you must understand. But whenever people kind of....want to exclude others, it just kind of bothers me.
I understand what you're saying, Aigoo, but at the same time, it makes me sad that the "Serious Discussion" threads rarely clear 30 posts, yet the ever ubiquitous banal threads stay alive, and then get jacked and become even more banal.
If you honestly think about it, not everyone comes on BWW with the intentions of having intelligent conversation. (Okay, I may be wrong, but this is just speaking from a personal level.) Sometimes I feel the desire to talk about my socks, my lack of toe hair, or the next congregation of the Temple of Idina Menzel.
Jacking threads = <3
It is sad that topics of dare I say more important nature are neglected over more light hearted, banal, call it what you will, threads...but I just feel, hey it's the internet, it's an off-topic message board...do what you got to do, and see what happens. Cringing is totally necessary.
