it's almost time for my annual viewing of this classic tv movie. anyone else care to join me?
Yes! You know I love this one. It will air on the Lifetime channels about 124 times between now and New Year's.
Who wouldn't want to find out that you were actually Patty Duke's kid, when you were raised by Joan Van Ark?
Well, maybe next year.
I'll bring the popcorn and coke.
Naughty husband! Patty would not approve.
i haven't been able to find it on TV in recent years but luckily i found someone to dub a copy of it a few years back so i could have my fix. i ALWAYS lose it at the end when patty is reading the letter.
somms, i'm so gonna force you to come to a viewing party of this movie and "love actually"
this is happy - in a twisted joan vs. patty with a splash of stephen way!
It's so obvious - Stephen looks exactly like Patty. Stupid kid.
somms, why do i get the idea that like phoebe's mother on friends you haven't seen all of your favorite movies as a kid. her mom used to shut sad movies off before they came to the sad parts.
do you, like phoebe, think "old yeller" is a happy tale about a boy and his dog?
Hell no, I couldn't wait for that mangy mutt to meet his maker.
I love me a tearjerker! I'll watch it with you, Robb.
Don't get your mascara on my shirt, though.
yeah, like i don't wear waterproof mascara.
It's the blue eye shadow you have to worry about Jaily.

Is it a bad thing I have never heard of this movie?
yes! it's been around since 1990 and is a holiday classic!
It really has very little to do with the holidays. Just because the last scene takes place on Christmas morning, it's become a holiday movie in the minds of the Lifetime execs.
I always figured him for a green eyeshadow kinda girl.
Bad me! I will have to try and find it.
I will be getting out "Love Actually" soon, though. =)
Rath,
You peaked my curiousity and I did a search on Lifetime to see when this movie was being aired. As it looks now, it doesn't say when it is scheduled.
Try Lifetime Movie Network.
I love this film, and want to see it again.
christmas is laced throughout this classic. that's why joan is even more upset that her little boy has run away because the holiday is coming. stephen does chores around his new home to buy gifts for the holiday. each year patty puts her missing son's ornament on the christmas tree first.
c'mon, it's all about christmas!
