And I've had it with the Globetrotters. I didn't view that as an elbow at all, from the brothers. The Globetrotters can't seem to figure anything out on their own and have gotten by by glomming on to others. Their whining and nonsense on the mat tonight completely turned me off to them.
And, they view the GTs as threats, and have worked against them at every turn.
At this point, the nicest person on the show has been Brian on team Zebra, and I am warming a bit to his wife. So I am actually hoping they win it.
Watching it on replay - it looked like an elbow came flying from one of the bothers - perhaps it was not on purpose. I liked the brothers at the beginning, but they have shown me to be less than good sports. I had never heard the GT saying bad things about anyone until tonight (but, I do use TiVo so who knows) while the brothers have been going after the GT since early on.
Cheyne seems OK, but Megan is another less than wonderful human being.
Not only that, but that guy is 6'10" and 215 pounds (as he stated). Do you really think one of the brothers would be able to throw an elbow like that? It looked like they were both running to the finish, and got caught up with each other- both of them ended up on the ground.
For me, the camera angle and distance made it unclear who, if anyone, was at fault. For a show that seems to like mad dashes to the finish line, they did a poor job by using that narrow boardwalk.

MB - I will give you that. Watching it a couple of times, it looked like an elbow came up to impeded the GT, and maybe not to actually hit them. I also read that FT told BE that he did NOT throw an elbow... so, maybe Dan was just trying to box out, and a mess ensured.
Regardless, the brothers are mad at the GT for doing exactly what they have done - find who is in front of them and use their info.
I find them to be hypocrites and able to talk the talk, but not walk the walk.
Again, the most decent person of the remaining 8 is Brian.
If the brothers and the GTs continue to wage their little war, I'd expect Cheyne and Megan to walk away with the $$$s. Megan and Cheyne have been the best team, but for some reason the other teams seem to have missed that fact.

I have heard spoilers for next week (and I have no idea if they are true).
But yeah, Cheyne and Megan (especially Megan) may take the race. I have no problem with him (though odd name) but find her a bit insufferable. When Brian helped them get a cab, she did not do what she promised, and basically said "fvck off".
Who knows, maybe Brian and Erika (who is growing on me) can pull this out.
Ok, what was up with the blurring out of the crotch areas on some of the guys during the volleyball game? All that did was draw my attention to the area.
There must have been some peekaboo going on with the undies. I'm amazed they stayed up!
I dont think you can tell at all if there was shoving, but I think because they were behind that if anyone did do some shoving it was the GTs. The brothers didnt say anything about it until the GTs started whining. I dont like either team as much as I used to, but the GTs are becoming my least favorite.

Me too, doodle. You always have to watch these things with a mind that they are heavily edited to make you feel a certain way about certain teams. But I kind of get the feeling, judging by the way the other teams react to them (not just the brothers, but also Megan/Cheyne to some extent), that the globetrotters aren't as nice and charming as the editing wants them to be.
I never thought I'd say this at the beginning of the race, but I'm pulling for a Team Zebra win. Brian seems like a decent, fun guy, and a good foil for Erika. Megan/Cheyne are just too plastic and boring and the brothers are too high-strung.
I didn't see the brothers doing anything wrong during that race to the mat. It looked like arms went flying because of people losing their balance on the slippery walkway. If the GTs got elbowed, trying to push past the brothers, I can't say I would blame the brothers for doing it. All it amounted to was who would get to open their first clue on the next leg a second or two before the other team. It's funny what the GTs consider dirty game-playing and what they don't. A misconstrued elbow for attempting to race past someone on a slippery walkway that is not wide enough to be passable and another team's arguing that has nothing to do with you is "bad", but it's ok to trash-talk other teams unprovoked and lie to exploit their fears and weaknesses when they are most vulnerable to save yourselves. Any other little hypocritical unspoken moral rules they wish to share with us?
Now, I'm not sure what's going on next week, but they hint at the whole stealing cabs thing. Now, I'm not a fan of the particular tactic, but honestly, I feel if it is within the rules of the race and CBS, then it's legal and fair. If players are allowed to steal each others' cabs, then it's up to each team to prepare for the scenario. The whole "WE WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT" is worthless in a million dollar race when someone is not breaking the rules and outplayed you.
As for the undies, I guess CBS is being more diligent after the Survivor snafu last season. It is America, after all, which means the mainstream entertainment industry must pretend that men do not have penises or at least, they cannot have the appearance of having a penis. Unless they are a nasty little Texas troll. That's ok because...who's going to look?

The only reason I was upset with the GTs last night was they could have made it 2nd and avoided the whole "elbow" incident if they paid attention and didn't start walking the other way! I'm still rooting for them tho. I actually got teary eyed seeing Father/Son team go.
It looks like the supposed friction between the GT and the brothers was much more about editing than anything else.
I have been reading that the producers of TAR are pushing conflict, and have (in past episodes at least) tried to create conflict.
"Phil also gave a little speech in which he first tells them to get physical with each other, than backs off. “I gotta say, I’m pleased to see a little competive edge going on, cause I think if you’re not kind of jostling a little bit, and you’re not pushing and just fighting for the space—not pushing, I’m not saying pushing—but I feel like if you guys are not wanting to fight for this race, and I think a little competitive spirit is a good thing,” he said"
Anyway, here is a writeup and a link to more on the mat. It's all good.
Stockard, I thought the same thing. I am a Facebook fan of the show and asked about the blurring. Usually they start posting stuff right after it airs. There was nothing. I think I have seen one or 2 posts this past week.
I'm really disappointed that the brothers made it to the finals. I guess I'll be rooting for Megan & Cheyne, although it would be a nice surprise if Ericka & Brian won. I was surprised the Rabbis let the brothers go through, since their idol had a broken arm.
