"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' I'm not a Scott fan or anything, but I have to wonder if some of you would have the same opinion of him if he was more attractive? Some people have said he looks like a serial killer. He is actually a good singer.

This is just my view point on what went down this week. No one will care but I still want to put it out there.

I think Scott is still there because he wasn't the worst singer.

Niko is gone because he was boring and predictable.

I think Travis tried too hard and ended up not having enough appeal, not to mention that he just wasn't a great singer.

Mikahla is still there because she is young and America wants to give her a chance. Remember Carmen Rasmusin? Although I think Mikahla is more talented than she was.

Amanda is gone because she was just too Vanilla, and by that I mean plain. She was a fine singer but nothing special. I thought her performance the first week was full pageant quality. It's back to the Treasure Island show in Las Vegas for her. Updated On: 3/11/05 at 01:46 PM

I know I should be judging on talent, but I cannot get over that one earlier episode (while in hollwood)when Scott was just staring at the camera. It was too creepy.

"Amanda DID get cut...I would've cut Mikalah before her !!!! That was the worse "Somewhere" I ever heard !!!"

I was rooting for Amanda Avila...bummer. Janay definitely needed to go, and I'm glad she did. I think Constantine will be the next to go. Travis was really good-looking...really...but he wasn't that great this week which is why he was probably voted off. Surprisingly, Anthony Federov isn't that bad. Bo is an excellent performer. I think the boys are shining this year. After Amanda was voted off, I don't care for any of the girls except maybe Nadia Turner.

So who else thinks they heavily medicate Paula before she comes on... is it just me or does she always say the weirdest things and seem kind of out of it?

I thought the judging tonight was extremely harsh, and odd at sometimes. Anthony-still my favorite guy, and Nadia and Carrie are my favorite girls.

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

Anthony did NOT deserve that critcism...he was excellent. I think they hear different than we hear the judges.
My favorites are still Anwar and Bo ...only girl tonight who did anything for me was Nadia.

I really liked Carrie tonight! I always like her. They were too mean. Also Liked Nadia and Anthony and Constantine, even though I only saw a bit of him. I was glad they didn't like Mikalah. I DO NOT Like her. Am I a horrible person for wanting her to leave??

I hate Anwar. What, exactly, does everybody see in him? He has no musicality, whatsoever. There's a voice there; but tonight's song had no cadence or style, and it was painfully dull. And it's a song I love!

Oh Bo. Bo Bo Bo. Let me have your babies. Now. *fans self*
I even liked Constantine, as I grew up in a house saturated with the music of Blood Sweat and Tears, but then Bo came on....oh my. I haven't been this flustered since the first time I saw Pascal in Cabaret.

Most everybody was nervous tonight, and I can't believe they haven't heard some of these songs before! Randy was just mean. I loved Simon's compliment to Nadia. Paula uses the same 3 criticisms.

I feel bad for Lindsey, as she's grown on me. She tries so hard, but something's missing. I thought Mikalah could do justice to Dusty Springfield, but the b**ch destroyed it. Nadia knocked it out though...that was awesome. What is so great about Anthony?? He put me to sleep after a few lyrics. Jessica wasn't as sassy as usual. Anwar is beautiful with a gorgeous voice, but he really does need to do something fun. Scott did a very nice job. Vonzell doesn't leave much of an impression on me, but she's fine. I like Carrie less and less every week. I don't care if she knows who she is musically, she's so vacant! I remembered why I wasn't very impressed by Nikko. Mario was on Letterman tonight doing the Top 10 Reasons Why He Quit, and was actually very funny.

I have to agree about Anwar. I honestly do not see the appeal. Simon was like, "you have such an instrument..." Did I miss something? He is so mediocre, and when he is "singing" out, it's yelling. I was never a fan of Constantine but I am tonight. I really wish Carrie would pick a good song. Bo and Nadia are stars.

Boobs, my friend said the same thing when I was talking to her about the show last night, that the judges hear it differently than we do.

Anwar definitely missed it last night. Bo is my absolute fav, followed by Nadia. Can't wait to see what the rest of America has to say.

Well Mikalah almost had a heart attack, and that for me was the best part of last night.
I'm sorry to see Lindsey go because I think she had potential. Not top 3 potential, but she could have stuck around for another couple weeks. But why the hell was Jessica in the bottom 3???
This week was such a mixed bag...but once again, Bo completely and utterly rocked my world. I'm off the Carrie train.

I heard on the radio this morning that last night doesn't count cause something got screwed up with the numbers posted at the end of the show. Tonight they're supposed to be singing again, with the results show tomorrow. Last night didn't happen.

Haven't checked the official Idol site, though to see if this is all true. *edit* Just checked the site, and yes, it's a redo tonight.

That said, what was Constantine thinking? I cringed through his rendition of I Think I Love You. David Cassidy he's not!

I loved Carrie and my Bo. Anwar? Eh. Not so much.

*edit* Paula was cracking me up mauling Simon last night.

Why would they have to sing again???? Can't they just re-air the show and use the correct numbers to call??? Will they have to sing the same songs???

Carrie was sooooo the winner last night...she is the one girl that I've been pulling for since day 1 .....still love my BO and Anwar !!!

Maybe they think it's more fair to the contestents to sing again?

From the Idol site:

"IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTE CHANGE

Due to an error with the graphics shown on-screen (incorrect voting numbers were displayed) during the performance recap at the end of last night’s AMERICAN IDOL, a live, one-hour show will air tonight, Wednesday, March 23 9/8c on FOX, to enable a re-vote. This new show will combine new live elements with encores of Tuesday’s performances from the remaining 11 contestants.

Phone lines will open at the conclusion of tonight's show and will remain open for two hours to give viewers the chance to vote for their favorite contestants and keep them in the competition.

Only the voting results from tonight’s show will determine who received the lowest number of votes and will be sent home this week. Tune in to see who America has chosen to stay and who is sent home on the live results show tomorrow, Thursday, March 24 9/8c live on FOX.
