Re: the "astonishing". At this stage in the competition, Simon would not say something that positive if he didn't want it to be passed as such. He knows the majority of the voters are going to hear what he says and take it as it is. If he wanted to be snarky about the performance, he knows millions of other ways to do so without using a very positive adjective. I do think he truly meant that something was astonishing, whether it be Constantine's performance, the fact that he gets better every week, or the fact that he's still even on the show.

That said, Constantine was far and away the best performance. Those saying that he butchered the song... what? I've been listening to Queen my whole life and he did it a fair amount of justice, with the time he had. I hardly think Freddy Mercury is tossing stones up from his grave or any of those other hideous remarks people make when living people recreate the works of dead people.

I'd rather see Scott go than Constantine, even though it's like choosing between being shot in the head or stabbed in the gut. I hope his comment about, "Well, I'm still up here on this stage and there are millions at home who didn't have the courage to do this." (paraphrase) backfires in a big way.

Savol's new found backbone will backfire. He insulted the viewing audience. He's gotten bad press lately. Oh, and he's bad at performing. Good riddance Scotty.

It's a good thing you'd rather see Scott go than Constantine. According to unofficial results, Constantine has been the second highest vote getter after Carrie for the past few weeks, and I bet will surpass even her this week. He's not going anywhere. Given how much mother and her co-elementary school teachers adore him, he seems to have a way with the middle-age ladies.

Too bad. The same was said about Clay and you couldn't find two totally different guys. Such as the fact that Clay had talent, or minor things like that. Oh well, I lost faith in the American voting pool after that blondie with a vibra-a-a-a-a-to Carmen Rasmusen stay on for so long.

i used to hate constantine but over the past few shows, he has been growing on me. I am not sure whether or not i want him to win but i wouldn't mind if he stayed for another few weeks. As for scott, i really hope he leaves tonight. That little speech at the end of his performance pissed me off. Anybody else find carrie annoying last night? i felt as though she screamed the entire song rather than sing it.

I dislike Constantine, but I like the fact that he's sticking around, because I find him highly amusing. His Dubya-esque smirks and weirdo persona are hilarious.

Can't figure it out, Tiff. Must have a huge family and they're paying off others to keep voting. I just can't believe that the people of America are voting for him. What group can he possibly appeal to? Not the teenage girls, or the middle age ladies. Prison inmates, maybe? I just don't know.
