re: American Idol Predictions

I'd like to see Paris as TiMoune in a revival of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.

re: American Idol Predictions

I hate to disagree with so many because I think she is sweet, but I think Lisa deserves the lack of votes. She has not done a thing for me since the first time we saw her. One thing that Pickler (who is the new Vote the Worst favorite to keep in the competition now that Kevin is gone) has done right is pick songs and sing within her talents. Lisa is picking terrible songs for her voice, and she is coming off (to me) as very amateurish and generic.
Updated top three:
favorites: McPhee, Mandisa, Elliot
predicted: McPHee, Mandisa, Chris (likehim, dont love him.)

re: American Idol Predictions

There was an interesting news blurb on television this morning that mentioned the whole "Vote for the Worst" campaign, but they said because the voting numbers as a whole this season are just so astronomical, the VFTW tallies are completely inconsequential to the race.

MB, then Kevin really was suposed to be in the top 12 re: American Idol Predictions

re: American Idol Predictions

Well, the judges put him the top 24 and he, as Simon says, he had the "granny" vote for a few weeks. But an entity like "Vote for the Worst" can't wield their supposed power until the competition has been narrowed down a bit. The votes all over are scattered until then - and its a fair assumption that most of the people to be knocked off so far have been "unmemorable" rather than "bad."

If VFTW was really doing their thing, we would have seen Kevin hanging around way into the competition like that tone deaf redhead a couple of seasons ago.

I officially christen "Vote for the Worst" dead in the water against the millions of other voters this season.

re: American Idol Predictions

I also think that because of Kelly Clarkson's huge success the past year, AMERICAN IDOL is suddenly being taken a lot more seriously than it was a few seasons ago (I know the music industry is now watching it like a hawk). The numbers are way up and I think people in general are taking the voting a little more seriously as well.

re: American Idol Predictions

Justice was served last night. The three who deserved to be in the bottom three - were. And the one who deserved to go home - did.

Now it gets interesting!

Very good point...I know my 75 yo mom is watching this season re: American Idol Predictions

I only voted for Kelly, mostly because I was worried she wouldnt win and she was much more of a favorite than any since. Since then I dont care enough (but watch it, nonetheless.)

re: American Idol Predictions

FINALLY! Chicken Little is gone!! *rejoices happily* :p I was really hoping that Bucky would go last night but I'm pretty sure he'll go next week (unless he really pulls his performance out of the hole he's in) Lisa deserved to be in the bottom 3 but it wasn't her time to go yet, so she won't. She'll be on for atleast the next 2 rounds.

My Top 3 Predictions: Mandisa, Chris (aka. Gorgeous, lol), and Elliot

re: American Idol Predictions

So they switch 'Worst' candidates so they look like they're having an effect on things (and now they pick someone who's fairly obviously going to be around for a few weeks at least?)

Seriously, that site needs to get over itself.

Actually, Kelly was always their backup once Kevin was kicked off.

re: American Idol Predictions

Chris, Taylor and Mandisa. Even though Clay has been the best thing to come out of AI. I love Kelly but she has strayed from her roots and orginal fans. Her concert with Clay was awesome but her concert this summer was like a hard rock concert. I love her CD though, I just wish she had sang the songs like the CD. I have been to 26 Clay concerts in 7 states and have not been disappointed once. Can't wait for his next CD to hit in the next couple of months. I'm going thru withdrawals. I wanna a Clay concert. Spidey reminds me of him. Maybe Spidey will put out a demo CD because he is awesome.

Mandisa is still my fave.

I don't really like Mandisa and I don't know why.

I really like Chris, Katherine, and Paris.

re: American Idol Predictions

I wouldn't have minded seeing Kevin hang around for a few more weeks if it would have meant getting rid of the vile Bucky and the poisonous pile of smarminess known as Ace.

Ace really turns my stomach. He's like a better built better looking version of Justin Guarini, only slimier (and I didn't think anyone could be slimier than Justin G.). And that sound he makes when he tries to "sing" oh God...

Lisa, no, just no. *goes and listens to eleventeen different live performances of Kelly Clarkson singing that song in order to clear ears*

What a poor song choice! Dumb, dumb, dumb.

re: American Idol Predictions

I'm going to predict right now that she goes home. She's been in the bottom 3 the past 2 weeks, and picked a song that was not only too much for her to handle but one that most viewers have heard sung the right way quite a few times in the past year.
