So how about those judges, eh? Harsh. I mean Paula is sweet, Randy is so-so, but Simon, he is the fun one. He's so mean, it's funny. And what's up with him and Ryan? They need to kiss and make out. I mean up. For Ryan's sake. Speaking of Ryan, he is short. Not only is he short, he's tiny. They need a new host that isn't dwarfed by every single contestant. Someone like Shaq. Or Hugh Jackman. Or my brother. I mean Ryan is just little. Hm, maybe he and Simon can trade jobs and Ryan can judge and sit at a table looking normal sized and Simon can yell at the contestants while standing right next to them, that could be fun. So you know what I'm excited about? The week Jon Bon Jovi helps. If that man walked into the room right now and asked me to marry him, I would. I think he is amazing. I also think Blake Lewis is amazing. He may not win, but he won my heart. Ha. That was corny. Corn Nuggets are good. You should all try some. Okay, back on track. I also like Phil. His bald head reminds me of Chris Daughtry. I wonder if that's what he was going for? I hope next week is better. And maybe Sundance will get kicked off. That would be nice. My theory is that if you haven't gotten any better since the audition, why are you still on the freaking show?
So are we through fighting yet?

I love Blake too (<--) but I don't think he was as good as last week. I do enjoy his unique song choices and it was cool to hear his beatboxing again.

Posted: 2/28/07 at 12:07amI thought Blake was still fab--so different than your standard AI contestant. I bet he goes far. Regardless of the competition, I bet he becomes a music star.

HumanTorch...you mean the Elliott wannabe....
On the up side he is just reminding people how bloody brilliant Elliott truly was........
Well at least he didn't rip off yet another Elliott song... but, then again., every time he does he pales in comparison.

Watched tonight for the second week in a row. The Jack Osbourne guy (Chris) sang wonderfully! I think he did a beautiful job and he wasn't complimented near enough. Why did Simon think the second to last guy (who also dedicated a song to his grandma) was the best? Huh? Blake was also terrific. They were the only two worth watching, IMO. Hope they go far.

It's kinda funny because Elliott couldn't get clearance for Geek In the Pink last year. Oh AI politics, how I hate thee.
I loved AJ tonight just because he has a lovely voice and looks like he's having so much fun. And Chris S sang the hell out of Trouble tonight. Blake did really well too- Jamiroquai is perfect for him.

Posted: 2/28/07 at 1:13amcabarethed-- yep. I remember as I recall they were constantly f*cking with Elliott. I am certain that he intentionally did an unoriginal version of Open Arms in his final performance...I'm glad he is out from under their thumb-- he will be just fine.

This is my first time watching AI this season because I am always busy at night, but DAMN!
Melinda Doolittle brought it! She's definitely my favorite now. That's was breathtaking.
Even when I did watch it, I usually zoned out a minute into each performance. But she held me at the edge of my seat - literally - the whole time.

#214re: American Idol - Performance Appraisals
Posted: 2/28/07 at 8:43pmI don't get why Antonella is choosing all these power ballads. Why?? She'd be more comfortable with something upbeat.

Posted: 2/28/07 at 8:47pmnow, y'all know how much I wanna be Blake's baby daddy and think he's super talented. nonetheless, melinda is the best on the show. possibly best singer ai has ever had. she is sublime.
