3 out of the 4 who left deserved at least one more week. Alaina had to go, but the other 3 were still better than some of the others.
I was very sad that Leslie left, I loved her for some reason. She was very different, and quirky in a good way. Oh well, best of luck to her!
And her farewell performance was quite amusing! And she sounded much better. If only everyone just let go the first time around!

Antonella's horrible. Simply horrible. And Brandon gives me the creeps, with the constant smile while singing and those weird hand gestures he does.
I can't believe how much I enjoyed Kellie Pickler tonight. I kind of feel like I need a shower because it's such an unclean feeling.

- I really don't buy that site has much weight. Millions and millions vote, Vote for the Worst has a cult following. As many people vote for Antonella because of VFTW, she has twice as many fans. And trust me I know, because I am from her area.

I'm from Ocean County, just like her. And she is big talk around here. And she has a lot of support. Ocean County rarely gets anything like this. To constantly see and hear Point Pleasant on national television is pretty cool.
Anyway, People who blame VFTW for contestants sticking around, are just using that excuse to ignore the fact that the contestant does have a fan following as well.

I even replaced Cyndi for Melinda. For now. Don't anyone worry!
Cyndi will be back when this AI season ends - because Melinda won't be done until she wins!
I actually spent my time watching video clips of her on AI to get caught up on her progress throughout the show.

I dont think that Nick should have been kicked off I liked him for some reason, he a nice sound to his voice. As for the rest who have been kicked off I dont really mind, I didnt like any of the girls we that good and AJ and Rudy were ok but not as good as some of the guys.
Here are my predictions for top 12: Blake, Brandon, Chris Richardson, Chris Sligh, Phil Stacey, Sundance Head, Melinda Doolittle, Lakisha Jones, Jordin Sparks, Gina Glocksen, Sabrina Sloan and Stephanie Edwards

I wanted to smack the sh-t out of Gina. Something about her really rubs me the wrong way. And you should never, ever sing a Heart song unless you have a killer voice. She couldn't sit in the same room with Ann Wilson. The only women I like are Melinda and Lakisha. Love Chris Sligh's voice and I think Blake is great.

Me too!
When she finished Alone (an old audition song of mine) I got so mad...it was worse that Celine and Whitney songs were also brought out.
Who lets these people think they can pull these songs off?
And, I think Chris and Blake should do porno together.

Fans without taste, apparently. The girl is wretched. And a tad deluded if she thinks these performances of hers have been any good. Every time I think of her smugly saying "Simon was wrong about Jennifer Hudson" I giggle. She's. So. Bad.

That they would.
About Antonella, I liked her before and in Hollywood week but now I cant stand her, she is not a very good singer. I am hoping she will be kicked off next week.

My fave two are Melinda and Blake. They are the ones that seem the most studio/concert ready. They are clearly already artists.
I think Stephanie and LaKisha have promise. I am curious how Chris Sligh and Sundance will hold up--but I dig their thing when they are at their best.
Chris R (who, YES, would make a GREAT duet with Blake--they always sit together when they girls perform...) is good looking and COULD go somewhere once he figures his vibe out and works on the voice some more.

I have a feeling this year the top three are going to be girls, not sure who yet though, I know it will be Melinda and LaKisha (at least it should be if it isnt) and maybe Stephanie or Sabrina.

Very possible, but I wouldn't discount either cute boy from going very far. And that cute boy deserves to be Blake. But, I can't see him or Melinda not getting record deals regardless of the outcome.
It also helps my opinion of him that there are clips on you know where that show him off. Very talented guy.

your right, I think they will both get record deals even if they dont will.
I love Blake but I just dont think he is going to win those girls have got some powerful voices.
I have seen the videos, in fact I have them all up on my fan site for him. I love it when he beat boxes.

well, you are right---that show is about loud and money notes. Not subtlety and phrasing and experimenting. Blake could be the next Timberlake meets Bjork and not come close to winning. Same could happen to Melinda who will likely be dissed the night she does a perfect rendition of something simple. It's too likely that that kind of performance will be trashed over someone else doing yet another power ballad.
I always HATE it when a performer on that show is SUCKING. No phrasing. Maybe even flat notes. But if they hit a money note, they audience stands up and cheers and boos Simon for calling the performer out. It's disgusting.

oh yes that gets on my nerves, what, can the audience not hear that they are flat. Like when Antonella made such a mess out of because you loved me, it seemed like everyone in the audience loved it, also people on the internet, I had been a forum some where and someone said she was the best of the night.

They boo even if the performer sucks through the whole song and doesn't hit the money note.
I realize that they are instructed to act like that and boo and hiss at Simon because he's a stupid limey daring to talk about these all-American performers like this, but the audience really represents some of the very worst aspects of America. Do these people really believe that each and every week each and every performer does a bang up job? It's embarrassing and it's also part of the reason a show like this deserves idols Taylor and (god willing) Antonella.
