yes, Melinda was the best one last night.
I don't agree that all the guys suck. I think the girls had the great benefit of going second.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 12:09pmI especially like that guy who sang with a pretty high voice, it was a slow bluesy number, blond guy. I don't remember his name but I thought he was original and very pleasant to hear.

Jane, I think you are referring to Blake who sang Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know". He was by far the best of the lot.
At this VERY early stage, I'm rooting for Blake, Melinda, and Sabrina, and maybe Phil if he keeps improving.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 9:09pmHow the hell did Sundance make it over Rudy? Rudy has been a favorite of mine since the beginning. I'm actually upset right now.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 9:11pmThe two guys I wanted off were Paul and Sundance. Thanks to votefortheworst.com, Sundance is still around. I'm a little upset about Rudy, too. He had a Clay Aiken quality I really liked.

If this is any indication of things to come, this whole season is going to be bullSH*T because of the Vote the Worst block. I haven't really been watching this season. I watched I think one of the audition episodes and then both shows this week, so I don't really have any investment in anyone. BUT, it's fairly obvious that something's amok when Antonella, Sunjaya and Sundance are all safe. Did anyone else catch Seacrest say that Sunjaya was in the top 4? It's a complete joke.

Anyway, it's fairly obvious that something's amok when Antonella, Sunjaya and Sundance are all safe.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 9:53pmPeople love to blame VOTE FOR THE WORST -- when the truth is most of America simply has bad taste. This comes up every year, but VOTE FOR THE WORST isn't powerful enough to generate enough votes to ultimately make a difference after the competition is down to the final ten.

Thanks, shootinstr11! Clearly I'm in love with him too. I voted for him 20 times or so Tuesday night.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 10:46pmI don't know, MB. While on the one hand, I wouldn't think Vote the Worst would be a strong enough block to sway things, but on the other...I just don't think Antonella being there is a matter of people having bad taste. I don't think she was "fine, but not my cup of tea," she was bad. Unless the Jersey Girls are flocking to her like stink on SH*T, I don't see how she could still be kicking around. And what about Sunjaya being in the top four. I thought he was weak, weak, weak. Could he have sqeaked by without being bumped this week? Sure. But I honestly don't think without a bit of tomfoolery he could end up that high in the rankings.

I personally don't think Sanjaya was all that bad. I thought he sang wonderfully in his audition and on Tuesday, but he does need to work on his presentation. That's something that he can improve upon each week.
Sundance, on the other hand, I think has been getting worse overall with each performance. His audition was impressive, then on the group show, he wasn't as good, and then on Tuesday night, he was just boring. I think at this point, if someone isn't working on improving their technique, they should be voted off. It may be a combination of votefortheworst.com and Sundance just having a legion of fans across the country that allowed him to be spared tonight.
