I mentioned on another Ann Coulter thread that I think it's kind of a shame that someone's also got to go to her looks or claim she's not a real woman or whatever in denouncing her. She gives so much fodder simply with what she says that I don't understand why people have to resort to misogynist comments about her.

Seriously. The other day I included a scary looking photo of Ann in a thread I titled "Don't Look!" because one of the things that gets me about many STRAIGHT male versions of people like hDTs is that they claim how "doable" she is and that that's part of her appeal. Which I simply do not see, from an objectively aesthetic standpoint.

However, I can see how that thread would fall under what Kringas is talking about in his analysis that there's enough to mock about Ann without having to resort to the looks and gender stuff.

It's just a whole different universe to me from the "ANOTHER useless woman" thing, which I would expect to hear come out of the mouth of a sweater queen in the 1950s at a piano bar. You know, the kind of gay guy who calls women "fish."

See, perhaps pointing out her less than flattering physical features isn't the gentlemanly, scholarly or civil thing to do, even with Coulter, but some people bring out the absolute worst in others. It's hard to expect even-keeled attacks against someone who goes around calling people faggots and wanting to poison supreme court justices and such.

I'm not sure I appreciate the "ANOTHER useless woman" comment, either. It truly seemed uncalled for and is incredibly insulting. Now, I despise Ann Coulter, but I won't attack her looks, sexuality, or anything else superficial. The woman is an ugly PERSON and I don't mean on the outside.
