Since when, do marriage and reproduction go hand-in-hand?

Here I thought the struggle over reproductive rights was all about the sanctity of life and come to find out it's about funding Social Security. Who would have thought...?

So Conservatives are for population control? I thought you were suggesting that Liberals wanted to control peoples lives. I'm confused now :)


ETA: Justaguy - isn't the Conservative viewpoint stated here ROMANTIC? Perhaps they can mandate it be included in the wedding vows. Somewhere between in sickness and in health (as long as you're covered by a decent policy) and for richer or poorer. Something like "...and to perpetuate the longevity of the social security system and guarantee our monthly nut"

LOL... I thought I was the only person who read that. Goth, seriously? Do you seriously believe that or were you just trying to come up with some sort of argument? What a weird, weird thing to say...

'sides, it's clear that conservatives aren't REALLY concerned about the future anyway. They know that Jesus is going to whisk them up to heaven any day now. Really, they're just making more soldiers for the battle against Shaitan.

Do you normally give money directly to homeless people, goth? As roninjoey said, no one will arrest you. You can still give them money and that will make sure they'll eat that day instead of waiting, as you complained about.

Yes I do. Why waste taxpayer's money and try to force a middleman between givers and the needy?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Conservatives don't come up with "solutions." Their way of facing problems is assembling a list of scapegoats (generally "liberals" and "government") as if that would magically solve everything. Whenever someone actually proposes a practical solution, they sneer at it and dismiss it.
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

And if it's between having kids on the subway and paying for my own retirement, I'll taking working at Pecos Pete's Chuck Wagon in my twilight years.

I'd know they weren't sincere if they were trying to unload a Sacagawea dollar on me, and I'd likely refuse it if I were homeless.
