this is just pandering at its worst... and seriously, as a latino, it offends me a bit too... this is one of the biggest reasons i jumped on the obama wagon early on... he comes off as real, she comes off as fake... someone who will say or do whatever she needs to do to win a vote:
i also just watched a clip of her speaking in texas with a HUGE southern accent... i have never heard her with a southern accent? but in texas she was jed ****ing clampett.
those things irritate me. even more so because i know people buy into it. pandering. arg... i'm trying so hard to not dislike her because i know i need to vote for her if she wins the nomination, but i'm having a hard time here.

cubanpab, be realistic. He's a politician. They ALL "pander" to the audience they're trying to reach. It's par for the course and is no different from the way a candidate would wear a yarmulke when visiting a synagogue or a hardhat when addressing some construction worker's union.
And it's not like HILLARY dressed him.
Actually, it looks a lot like Christian Siriano's work on Project Runway...

Theatrediva--You know how to keep it real. There's so much I want to write here but just can't go there. Recently, I had to throw a good buddy of mine from Guatemala out of my place after he and his wife accused me of being anti-Latino and verbally attacked me for supporting Obama. Que sigan comiendo mierda los dos!
The funny thing is that HE is a mariachi singer who dresses like "el charrito ahi" every weekend LOL. I'm not hatin' though.

Who is the kid? What is the context? Perhaps we might be able to judge this better if we were given more than just a photo and made to supply our own caption.
And why are those of us supporting Hillary Clinton automatically stupid idiots who are "buying into her pandering?"
Honestly, I'd have no problem whatsoever supporting Obama in the general election, but the condescension by some of his supporters (and I'm not talking about you pab, but in a more general sense) is rather irritating.

i'm just over the 'Hillary is Satan--Obama is Jesus' rhetoric.
and I def won't tolerate the belittling of latinos for honoring their traditions on a special occasion. maybe it's a minstrel show to some of you, but it's beautiful to me.

calvin its the same thing i get on a daily basis from hillary supporters... not necessarily anyone here, but on the subway this morning i had a conversation with an older lady who said "i needed to research obama more because i was just young and naive and was voting without knowing much about him". its the same ol' crap, he gets the youth vote because we're dumb and young. but whatever... i guess both sides get flack.
oh and the lady was commenting on how obama swept the potomac and said "i guess this country is more sexist than racist"... i wanted to say, so then did you not vote for obama because you're racist?? but i held my tongue. cute old ladies deserve respect even if they love hillary
