Hah, I remember that. Anybody see how Bill Clinton feels that upper class citizens "don't need a president"? I suppose he feels that way about black people and college students too.
PalJoey, thanks for those pics. I needed some inspirational pics of our next president in my life right now!

Yes. That's exactly how he feels.
What does this sort of nonsense add to debate, may I ask?

we have quite a choice: a rumored closeted lesbian who is harsh and humorless or a black man who has no experience and smiles like an insurance salesman.
i might actually vote republican.

Just own up to the fact that Cubans have always looked down on Mexicans, pab, your We-are-the-Latino-World "as a Latino" notwithstanding.
Given how every Republican candidate for president of the United States since the first election of the '60s has stuck his tongue directly down the pants of the Cuban expatriate community to get the votes of your grandparents, you should maybe cut a little slack.
And don't get all worked up over a frigging photograph. You're the second person I'm recommending Susan Sontag's "On Photography" to this week.

Another reason why Hillary (well, both Clintons) annoy me. So the only people who matter are the ones who voted for them? Why aren't they trying to win votes rather than dismiss the votes of others?

If she wins Texas and Ohio and is at least 100 votes ahead in the delegates, before the supers, you owe me...big time. ;-}

Hillary is just being endorsed by a closeted lesbian senator (who voted for the Defense of Marriage Act in 1994).

Heh. Well, I'd be impressed if she manages to win those states by the margin she'd need to for that to happen.

Don Pablo,
Looks like Obama is starting to turn the corner over @ univision.com. Let's hope it takes roots in TX between now and the primary. Check out some of the threads at the link below.

has anyone on the board taken a glance at Clinton's subprime mortgage plan? As was suggested in another thread, lets talk about policy. Her plan to freeze foreclosures, freeze interest rates, and have a mortgage holiday would be DISASTROUS.
This is what really irritates me about this woman. All this talk about "experience" and "policy," and she really comes up short in every regard...

findingnamo... if anything its obvious to me you look down on cubans... while i'm sure many cubans, and other hispanics look down on mexicans, i'm not one of them...
i wasnt worked up about the picture... i was just commenting on the fact that it annoyed me... but i wasnt worked up... not nearly as worked up or as angry as you seem to be against cubans. racism... alive and well i see.
but thats cool tho... i've met plenty of pricks like you in the past.
anyhow, on to the rest... javero! i did see that he took the latino vote here in the potomac which was encouraging, but i still think texas is hillary country. the mexican community overwhelmingly supports her and texas has a large mexican population. i have a close mexican friend who lives in TX and i'm trying to sway him to vote for obama... so far he's on the fence... so we'll see!

It is no wonder that Obama hasn't had to be as negative as Clinton: he has a mob of people willing to attack for him.

Given what I've read about the way Texas' delegates are handed out, I don't see how Hillary can gain a wide margin of its delegates. The way I understand it, the primarily Latino districts are given fewer delegates because they didn't come out and vote Dem in the last Gov and Prez elections. The primarily Black districts did vote heavily Dem, so they are given more delegates. Given this, it's hard to see a Hillary landslide in delegates.

For me, the main reason I don't support Hillary:
1: I don't think she can win in the general election
2: IF she does win, we will lose the Senate and House
3: Her "experience" is completely based on the achievements of her husband.
However, I think it's silly for us to fight over them--we can like Hillary without thinking Obama a snake oil salesman just as we can support him without thinking her the devil incarnate.

I agree, lildogs. I don't understand all the pointed vitriol toward Hillary Clinton -- who's going to lose anyway -- at this point when the energy would be much better spent in vitriol toward John McCain.
Let's face it. Clinton and Obama have two very different styles, but if either one of them were in office, the difference in impact on us as individuals would be slight. If McCain were in office? Well...a whole different animal.

What I don't get about Hillary is that when Bill was president everyone snarked how it was she that was pulling the strings and whatnot. Now that she's running for president she's riding on his cottails. Which is it?

Exactly--though I think you mean coattails--cottails are very different and ALOT more fun.
