She was quoting a spiritual, but they conveniently cut off the part before that showed that.
And I'm not saying she doesn't pander. I know she does. But she also lived in Arkansas for a while, so it's not like she's never lived anywhere that she might have picked up a Southern accent.
I lived in South Jersey just a year and repeat some of their nasty habits sometimes. And no matter how long I've been out of Texas, when I go back there, the accent creeps back in a little.

I don't have an accent. but as soon as I cross the state border, the twang just pops in. why can't that be true of her?
but even if it was an affectation, what do you call Obama's speeches in churches that sound like he's a preacher all of a sudden? they have to work their audiences. and they are both guilty of it.
Obama simply doesn't do that damn 'big eyed point and smile bobblehead' routine that Hillary keeps doing. everytime I see her do it, I cringe.

I have a lot of bitchy things I could say about Barack (i.e., "Love Obama, hate his cult"), but I decided over the past few weeks to do my best to refrain from saying them. (Those who know me will know that refraining from saying bitchy things is a difficult thing for me to do.)
After Pennsylvania, one of them will be the nominee. Why indulge in repetitive bitchery now, when we're just going to have to back one of them in 6 weeks or so? (Or both, as a ticket, if I get my wish.)
Let the Republicans do the Attack Dance. No need to attack ourselves.
I urge the Barack supporters to take inspiration from Barack this week and shift the object of the attacks to McCain.

Jerby, you're beginning to sound like me (if I were for Hillary) :P Obama's gotten some pretty good endorsements that would matter to the latino community but it's true that he's only recently started agressively courting them (although he's always worked to pass positive legislation for them). The wide eyed loved for Hillary Clinton among the spanish speaking community beguiles me, I do wonder what for. But I wonder the same about the gays, the blue collars (why didn't they vote for John Edwards?!?!?!)...
In retrospect, John Edwards really should have ran a better campaign. I mean, he ran for president AND VP. He should have some know how.
