Oh my god, those spoilers are so bloody offensive on top of being just plain awful in content. For frick's sake, Rusty! Seriously, the Moffat era can't come soon enough for me. And I say this as someone who's absolutely adored plenty of RTD's writing in the past.
Plum, bear in mind that the source of this info is the SUN, a tabloid not known for accurate reporting. As I pointed out, the story is inaccurate vis-a-vis Martha, who only met Mickey during Journey's End. As much as I like Mickey, I find it hard to believe she'd give up Tom MIlligan for him.

SPOILER SPEC
kec, I know the Sun is a piece of crap, but its spoilers have been right before. And I wouldn't put it past RTD to have Martha suddenly marrying Mickey - after all, they've had about as much screen time together as Martha and Tom.

THANKS, PLUM *BIG HUGS*
On monday, check www.drwho-online.co.uk because they are expecting pictures of Matt Smith in full "Doctor" gear. *EXCITED*
ALSO, about the Martha getting with Mickey thing.....in "Children of Earth" they say that Martha is on her honeymoon, so I think it's pretty much debunked.
Spider, fyi, the Third Series three-part finale is now on BBCA. Part 1 is almost over, parts 2 & 3 are on at 6 pm and 7 pm.

Spidey, the bit about the Monday announcement being Eleven photos is spec, not a press release. That said, Doctor Who is an awfully leaky show, so I won't be the least bit surprised if this spec turns out to be accurate.
ETA: Oh, man, the S3 finale. So much brilliance (John Simm, chunks of "Utopia") mixed up with unfortunate bits of crap (Disco Tinkerbell Jesus Doctor, pretty much the whole goodbye to Jack at the Plass).

Oh it's okay. I have seen it NUMEROUS times. Yeah, I don't like the floating Doctor but it was a great finale, none-the-less

I think he looks adorable! They just look so YOUNG. But I LOVE the costume. I think it's much more basic than David Tennant's.

I like that the costume's a bit fuddy-duddy, at least from the waist up. It helps make up for the fact that Smith looks about 12.
I was JUST about to post this. hahaha. I don't know about the bow tie but yeah, they look so YOUNG. But, I can't wait to see how Moffat and Smith take the Doctor into a darker realm.

I don't have a problem with Matt Smith as of yet, I've got really high hopes. I understand them wanting to go younger, but maybe they should have inched us into it, instead of throwing us in the deep end. Oh well, Time Lord.

A different article with even more pictures! Yay!
Is it just me or does the TARDIS look slightly different. And now that I see Matt standing and able to see the full costume, I like it

Yeah, you are right. It is different. I read somewhere it was going to be, so I was expecting that. I dunno, I feel like it's a brighter blue from those pictures. But that could just be the light.
It also looks bigger (on the outside, for once )
I wonder if this is what the shows are going to look like (in regards to lighting)
WOAH. So, apprently, at some point, Tom Baker is returning as the Doctor?

The TARDIS does look a bit different. It's a brighter blue, you can see its wood grain, and it has white frames around its window panels. It also seems like they suck some kind of new symbol or something on one of the doors, but I didn't get a good look at it.
And Spidey, Baker is only going to play Four for some audio plays, something that news item doesn't bother to elucidate. My Who fan friends would have exploded with glee by now if he was coming back to TV. :)
Lovely interview with David Tennant and Julie Gardner. I especially liked this little tidbit:
"When furthered queried about whether or not he would consider doing a play on Broadway, Tennant replied, ?It?s a possibility. It would depend on what it was and when it would be. I?m open to any possibility at the moment.?
From his mouth to a Broadway Producer's ear, please!!!

I think he was the original Katurian in The Pillowman, wasn't he? I'm not a tremendous fan of Tennant's screen acting, but I would be very interested in seeing him onstage to see if the change in medium makes a difference.
"I'm not a tremendous fan of Tennant's screen acting"
I understand how you may not like his "Doctor" acting since it is all over the place, but in the "Family of Blood" episode where he wasn't the Doctor but John Smith.....I thought his acting was BRILLIANT and very touching.
Ps. Are there any more hints at when his RSC's HAMLET is coming out? I am growing impatient. lol
Spider, I'm with you on his performance in Human Nature/Family of Blood -- that lightning switch in the latter from John Smith to the Doctor back to John Smith was outstanding, and his performance overall truly fantastic. I get teary every time I watch that scene where John and Joan are holding the watch and it shows them what their life together would be like *sigh*
No word yet on when Hamlet will air in the UK other than the vague mention of end of the year; the dvd will be out soon after that, but I think that will be a region 2 DVD (which isn't a problem for me as I've got a region-free player). No idea when it will air here in the US.
I sure hope he does come to Broadway. I had hoped that the RSC production of HAMLET would have been the one to come to the US instead of the Donmar production, but c'est la vie.
Macs are region free (or at least mine is) so all is good with world :)

Well, I'm totally screwed! I'm gonna have to wait for the-whatever the u.s. region is.
I still say if you don't like David Tennant's acting in Doctor Who, check out RECOVERY.
And as for a Broadway play...CHEERS!
