You can get a region-free DVD player at a regular electronics store for around $40; they're just not labeled that way. Just Google the right models.
And wow, that video was fun! Season 4 was just lovely, wasn't it? Except for that bit at the end which NEVER HAPPENED DAMMIT.

Ah-Ha but she is coming back at the end of the season so it HAS happened. Nyuck! Nyuck!
PS. I just watched "Partners in Crime" and "The Unicorn and the Wasp"

I have the distinct feeling that whatever RTD has planned for Donna's little comeback isn't good. So I'll stick to denial, thanks. :)

Aww, that was so fun! She is THE. BEST.
FYI, the Doctor Who Comic Con panel was filmed and is up on YouTube. At some point there was a question about favorite companions to the panel, but people in the audience started shouting Donna's name.
FYI, per a tweet from PBS, it's been confirmed that Hamlet will air on PBS Great Performances in 2010.

PRAISE GOD!
Dammit. I wish they would have shown the trailer
Ps. I am getting so tired of the "I love you" screams. It's getting annoying now

I am so glad PBS will be airing Hamlet. I think that will give him some nice american exposure.
From the sounds of those "I love you" screams, I was sort of surprised as to how popular the show is here. It seems they sort of were, too.
Loved David's comment -- "they told us no one knew Doctor Who here."
Spider, is "le gasp" because you found the trailer or just a bit of sarcasm that the trailer is indeed on YT?
I kind of figured PBS' Great Performances would air HAMLET since they aired King Lear last year, but it's good to have it confirmed.

I said "le gasp" because you said it was on YT
BUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT
I just watched it and I got SERIOUS chills
There are several copies of the trailer up there, but in at least one you can hear the crowd reaction when Donna came up on the screen... and when that last guy came up as well!
that's the one I watched.

It's true that no one knows Doctor Who here. It's just that the few who do tend to get really, really into it, buy Comic Con tickets, and scream in ecstasy at the actors once the panel starts. :) In England it's a traditional family show and cultural icon. Here it's a sci-fi cult.
I don't know how true this is but I read somewhere that the room they used for both panels was the biggest room they had, and fit 4,000 people -- and the room was full.

Wow! That is so awesome. I hope that is true. Maybe that will encourage BBC America not to delay the premier the final two episodes.
The word from BBCA is that the three remaining specials will air uncut and sooner after they air in the UK than previously. There is an article somewhere, but I can't find the link at the moment.

There's THREE left?! I don't know why but I was thinking there was only two left! AWESOME!!! That just made my day!
Good morning to all!
Aside from THE NEXT DOCTOR, which was the Christmas special, the four special episodes are:
PLANET OF THE DEAD (aired on BBCA July 26)
WATERS OF MARS
THE END OF TIME (two parter, with the final episode scheduled to be one hour 15 minutes long)
No UK airdates have been announced for the last three, although RTD has said "Novemberish" for WATERS OF MARS, and the last two will be around Christmas'New Years.

Awesome! I didn't realize THE END OF TIME was gonna be a two parter. But it totally makes sense. And also makes me very happy.
Off of "New Who" for a bit. What is your FAVORITE classic Doctor Who? I am in a kick to watch the old ones. I tried a couple in the past and was bored to tears. But, I just watched "The Five Doctors" a couple of weeks ago and was actually enjoying myself. YAY!
She's looks gorgeous, doesn't she?!?
