Oh, Good, it's not just me. Magdalene, their schedule indicates that Doctor Who on Demand is supposed to have series 2 episodes 1-4 on this week, but only 1 and 2 are there. I'm told by people who have BBCA via Time Warner that they do see it on the schedule, but it's not showing on Comcast. A query to BBCA's viewer relations only netted me a form reply, and I haven't heard anything from Comcast. I may call the cable company tomorrow, and I'm going to post another question about this on BBCA's facebook page.

Now that's the Ten I knew and loathed before Donna came along - and in "Journey's End", too. He's always had an inner dictator just waiting to leap out - that's why Simm played the Master while doing a Tennant impersonation. Ten sounded awfully Master-like for a few moments in "The Waters of Mars".

Lindsay Duncan was just marvelous in this, and brought out the best in Tennant, as actresses over thirty-five or so tend to do. And I loved her character for never, ever letting the Doctor take away her agency, even at the expense of her life. Ten is always making decisions for humans without their leave- dumping Rose in the other universe with alt!Ten, ripping out Donna's memories, abandoning Jack and breaking his wristband device, deposing Harriet Jones. Adelaide said "no" in the most emphatic way possible. Good on her.

That's the point, Plum. He realized that the part of him that emerged is what is going to cause his death and destroy everything. Granted, Nine had that too. He was pretty much, "okay you deserve what you get. Bye, bye now." Ten carried that over in a way and Donna helped him look into himself for mercy.

Hee, I know that was the point, Spidey. I'm just glad they finally Went There - I mean, they've sort of gone there before, with moments like Donna saying Ten needs someone to stop him, but the fact is that he never got called out on a lot of his megalomaniac tendencies. Maybe RTD feels that with the regeneration coming, he can finally finish that character arc. It's just a shame he felt the need to drag it out for so long, because it made me like the Doctor a whole lot less than I otherwise would have.

So...anybody got any death predictions? I imagine it'll be some kind of deliberate self-sacrifice - a reversal of his denial of death at the end of "The Waters of Mars", and an acknowledgment that some things are bigger than he is. Or at least I hope that's how it'll go. If we get yet another Sparkly Disco Jesus Doctor moment I might cry. (And please, lawd have mercy, let Rose be uninvolved. Please.)

No, I read Rose comes back in this one but no confirmation from anyone. So far, it's just a rumor. I'm glad Donna is back though (and why is her fiance back?). I think it's going to be a self sacrifice too. I think it's leading up to that. But, I don't think you need to worry about the "megalomaniac tendencies" too much with the 11th Doctor. In all of the scripts that Moffat wrote, Ten was never the ego driven Doctor. He was the guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, who tries everything to stop what is going on around him. I think that is why I love Moffat's stories the best.

Donna's fiance Lance isn't back -- as far as I know it's a new guy in her life.

I know the actor's name is David Harewood, and I think his character is the author of a book the Doctor was seen holding during the filming of some scenes.

Ah, gotcha! I wonder how they are going to work the "if Donna remembers me she will die" thing. Speaking of which, Donna BETTER NOT die. I will throw my computer out the window if she does.

I love this fan made video. Here is the plot:

"2 parallel worlds collide. The Doctor is haunting Rose through a fracture in time present in an old share house located near the Cardiff rift. But can he get the message to her in time through the use of sally sparrow and the weeping angels?"

I agree with you about Donna... I really want to see her have a happy ending -- and if it's with Lee (From Forest of the Dead) so much the better.

DT said on Graham Norton the other night that there were sad scenes being filmed which made everyone cry. I think I'm going to need the box of tissues next to me when that finale airs...

I hope that Donna's at least raised her self-esteem and her job status even without the Doctor's intervention - her mother did look like she was going to lay off the verbal abuse a bit at the end there. Donna's just too great to be kept down by some piffling memory loss. :)

Assuming they air the second part on New Year's Day, we might just get it the day after, January 2. Fingers crossed...

Loved The Doctor's comments about "Good Queen Bess." Guess we know know why she wanted his head in The Shakespeare Code... re: Any Doctor Who Fans? *Spoilers*

re: Any Doctor Who Fans? *Spoilers*

I need to get this novel. Not only is it written by one of the writers of the tv show, BUT it bridges the gap of Donna's story between "Journey's End" and the specials this year.

It's a good book, Beautiful Chaos. I have mopst of them, but my local Borders has been lax in getting them in as of late (as well as the Torchwood series). And the local B & N doesn't have any of them (one of the reasons I don't shop there much).

In the "Tears Of An Angel" link you posted, what movie was the Billie footage taken from? Spirit Talk?

I bought Beautiful Chaos in Cardiff when I was there, but haven't read it yet. I've also ordered The Stone Rose Audio Book -- it's read by DAvid, and I'm told he has the voices of the other characters down pat. re: Any Doctor Who Fans? *Spoilers*

I have to start collecting the books.

I have only seen Doctor Who from 2005 and on, I haven't seen previous Doctor Who seasons and I am debating if I want to. I know I should but idk I'm just hesitant...

I came on board during the "nu who" era, but I do have some interest in the classic series. I think most of them are available on Netflix.
