Could that interviewer's voice be ANY more annoying?
Ps. HAPPY 1,000th POST
Yeah it was a bit annoying, but what Matt had to say made it worth the trouble. Interesting that he wants to do a play on Broadway.
with every video that comes out, I love Matt more and more.
Matt on Broadway would be pretty awesome.
How about Matt and David on Broadway?
They will have to restrain me from jumping on the stage and taking liberties. That's all I'm sayin'.

Very cute interview. But RAP?! Really?! Interesting.
I think Broadway is a great ambition for him, and I really hope that happens sooner rather than later. I don't know, he's an interesting cookie. He comes accross as a young man. I mean, he's got this massive appeal to young people. But then he comes across as bit of an old soul as well.
No clue what I'd like to see him in though. Just something other than Shakespeare.
Matt seems to have eclectic taste in music. He's mentioned an interest in Frank Sinatra in other interviews.
BTW, don't forget this coming Wednesday on PBS:

Matt and David on Broadway would be insane. I think they'd both do a great job in theater.
I'm really excited for Hamlet on Wednesday!
Edit: Guess which awesome talk-show host talked about Doctor Who (after about 3 minutes of other stuff)?

Wow. According to the Doctor Who's forum, 80% of people gave tonight's episode 5 out of 5. CAN'T WAIT to watch it tomorrow.
I'm waiting to watch on BBCA, so I've only seen "Eleventh Hour" so far, and am not reading the thread to keep from being spoiled, but I wanted to say I'm loving the revamped series so far.
I especially love Amy Pond. Not fond of the new theme mix though.
That's all for now, I'm getting ready for "The Beast Below" tonight.
I wrote out a longer set of thoughts on "Eleventh Hour" on my blog if anyone wanted to check it out.
Eleventh Hour Review
HO.LEY.CRAP!!! I just watched part 1 of "The Time of Angels" and I must say something: THAT IS THE STEVEN MOFFAT I LOVE!!! There was one part that I, literally, didn't breathe for a few seconds because I was scared and enthralled at the same time. Plus, it gives more of the Angel's mythology and also leaves questions. I honestly can't wait for the conclusion next Saturday.

Yep, this is easily the tightest, liveliest episode of the season. I'm not crazy about River Song (SMUG SMUG SMUGGERSON) and the Random Henchdudes seem pretty pointless so far, but overall this is working as a piece of television in a way the other episodes haven't.
^Completely agree. SPOILERS AHEAD:
I was a bit wary of having the Weeping Angels return just because they were so epic last time that I didn't think Moffat could possibly make them any creepier. And then he DID! I was a little confused as to what was going on with the Angels but that may be because the volume was low.
Also loved Amy and River, and the Doctor's interaction with River reminded me of 'Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead', which surprised me. Which version of the Doctor is the one River meets for the first time? I love that their whole relationship so far has been based on them meeting at the wrong times. Such is the relationship with a time traveler.
And the way Amy was used was just...genius, I think. And Bob as well. Miles ahead of 'Beast Below' and 'Victory of the Daleks', and on level with 'The Eleventh Hour'.
Moffat still has yet to knock my favorite Doctor Who story out of the top spot, though. (Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead.) Though I'm not entirely sure what comes in which order after that...
**SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER**
The part where the Angel comes out of the screen had me FREAKED OUT. That's the part that I stopped breathing in.
**SPOILER OVER SPOILER OVER**
Me too! That was a great scene, with Amy trapped in a room with it. Kind of reminded me of 'The Ring', actually. But it was so brilliantly done.

I'm a little bit dubious about all these new rules and abilities regarding the angels, but I'm trusting Moffat to resolve all this in the second part. He's had a lackadaisical attitude towards tucking in his plot threads in the first couple of episodes he wrote, but hopefully with more room to stretch he'll deliver one of the tight, puzzle-box scripts he's known for.
Yeah, it's weird that the Angels are doing to their victims. Makes me wonder if they are the Angels at all. We shall have to see.
Moffat did say in an interview that the ones we saw were scavengers, barely alive. Remember the Doctor said they wanted the TARDIS to feed off its energy. These now have the Byzantium and are probably feeding off its energy and becoming more powerful.
I agree Spider, the angel coming out of the screen really creeped me out as did the voices of the dead soldiers later. And AMY!!! appearing to turn to stone? Harkens back a bit to the Pompeii episode.

Interesting insight into the episode. For some reason I didn't take the episode as an action sort of thing. It was...is. It's a story. I think the main difference for me is the involvement of the Doctor and his companion (moreso than in Blink) and the presence of River Song. It's kind of like a sequel to Silence In the Library/Forest of the Dead, rather than a sequel to Blink.
All those mysteries about River Song are bugging me. But in a good way. But if it is not Matt Smith's Doctor she gets really close to, who is? (Though I did notice there was no 'you're younger than I've ever seen you' comments.)
I think she meant in his eyes that he was younger with Tennant.
Well, he was younger as Tennant. But this version of River Song has never met Doctor #10 and thinks the Doctor hasn't met her yet. I'm just wondering if she knew Doctor #11 at some point and that's why she didn't comment on his appearance.
Well, she said that she has seen pictures of all of his faces so that's probably why. No clue.
She did? That explains it, then. I had the volume kind of low so I might have missed a few things.
That just got me thinking...the Doctor must be one of the hardest people to pin down. I mean, he's a time traveler who never bothers to stay in one place for too long and he can change his face as well.
