Well, I recorded myself singing a limerick I wrote. I might put it up tomorrow. Maybe.

This is "Last Midnight" from Into The Woods. I'd really appreciate feedback on it, because I am auditioning for the show soon and am going for either The Witch or Baker's Wife.
You need to repost the link, because it doesn't work.
I have two songs that I KNOW I am going to record
One song that I am working on to eventually record
And, one song that I am trying to find the karaoke to so I can record it.
Thanks for the warning.
Incidentally, why did you edit your post above?
Because I was in a bad mood when I wrote it, and when I looked at it again . . . I decided that I shouldn't have said that.
That doesn't change the fact that you said it and thus it can't be taken back.
Okay, I know I said it and it can't be taken back . . . but I still wanted to take it off. I just made up my mind that I don't care what criticism you, or anyone, had (unless I agree with it)

Here's me singing the black woman solo (don't ask) from 'Seasons of Love'... just trying out a few riffs for a performance later this month.

Good job, HatBoy.

Here it is. I hope it works this time.
Once again- "Last Midnight" from Into The Woods. Constructive criticism and feedback greatly welcomed and appreciated.
that wasn't bad at all, pretty convincing actually.
Amber, I definitely liked that a lot. Your voice has a lot of character in it, and also a nice tone. Was this recorded at a performance, or just you singing, or what? One suggestion I might give you is to concentrate more on the arc of the song. You hit all the notes and sounded good on 'em, but there were times when I wasn't quite feeling all the emotion/build in it. There might be times when it's better to speak the lyric rather then sing it and hold it out for it's full written value. Anyway, great job.

Thanks, spidey.
hatboy, i know you said not to...but I have to ask why you were singing the female solo in that song?
call it idle curiousity.

Haha, well here goes. It's not really thrilling but I get that question a LOT more than you would imagine.
I originally sang "Seasons of Love" as an audition piece with 3 other people. We split the solos amongst three people (myself and two friends). I got the first solo, my friend got the second, and then the other got the last parts, including the high note. So ever since that audition, we've been asked to sing it for shows, galas, promotions, etc.
oh. doesn't the same person who sings your solo also sing the high note? or is that not the right part of the song?

Traditionally, my solo and the "high note" solo would be the same thing, but since it was an audition piece we had to showcase all of our voices, so we split it. Hope that helps.
