According to TV Guide, 3 characters - including 1 from day one of the show, will die on Sunday's episode on DH.

I really don't care for the storyline of Carlos being so mean to Lynette. It just doesn't make any sense that he would be so hurtfull to an employee, let alone a good friend.

With the way he has been acting, I hope it's Carlos. He's always been the more grounded half of that couple.

Exactly. He's always been the grounded one.

And, speaking of death, Bree's son Andrew was the one who hit Carlos's mother with the car, and she died. That secret still hasn't come out yet.

from TVGuide's "Today's News: Our Take" question and answer column:

Who is going to die in the Desperate Housewives plane crash? â?? Angela S.
MICKEY: Guess what? I totally know, but I'm not going to spoil it (except to say it's not a Bolen). Instead, I'll share this: The dearly departed wills to one of the Housewives a most interesting asset. It's worth a lot, but it also carries a moral price tag.

This show jumped the shark with the whole 5 year time travel thing.

I say kill off everyone and bring back Sharon Lawrence, Brenda Strong and Roger Bart and focus on them.

The show has become a caricature of a caricature. It's terrible.

The season finale with the whole kidnapping/car chase thing was some of the worst writing I've ever witnessed. Just terrible.

Its time has passed. And Lynette Scavo may be the least likable character on TV. And who wants to bet she loses her unwanted baby in this new "disaster" as the umpteenth convenient plot-twist for the dead-end Scavo story-lines.

Am I the only one who feels this way? This show used to be a guilty pleasure, but not it just makes me feel guilty.

Never thought of it that way. I think the 5 year story line jump was very good.

What was wrong with the writing from the Season Finale?

"And, speaking of death, Bree's son Andrew was the one who hit Carlos's mother with the car, and she died. That secret still hasn't come out yet."

Actually Carlos' didn't die from being hit by Andrew. She died when she woke up from her coma and tried to sneek out of the hospital and fell down the stairs in the stairwell. But you are right that it never came out that Andrew was driving the car the put her in the hospital in the first place.

I'm sure that's a storyline that has been abandoned. I doubt it will ever come up again.

I would hope it's Katherine. They've turned her into such a hosebeast there's no way to redeem her.

I thought the five year jump originally was a good thing, because I thought it breathed some new life into the show and got them past a lot of ridiculous plotlines they had going. But I agree that it's a disaster. Of course, I think that steaming pile of dogcrap that follows it is even worse, but I seem to be in the minority there.

Lynette is a terrible human being. What I can't understand is if you're broke, you already have a million children and you don't want the ones you're carrying why don't you just have an effing abortion? Or at least consider it as an option. Jesus.

Everything. From the ludicrous implausibility of the central conceit on down. And that actor(s) playing MJ... let's just say the only believable thing about his casting lies with the fact Teri Hatcher plays his mother, as if that excuses his abhorrent, cloying acting. Or hers. The only one more annoying/cloying than Hatcher is Huffman, who deserves much better. I hated everything about last season and while this season had a moment or two that gave me a false glimmer of hope, that was soon dashed with the umpteenth crazy Delaney or wacky Hatcher or hypocritical Cross moment. The show is lost at sea and it seems as though a different writer writes every episode and none of them bother to maintain the tone that was so clearly established in the first 4 seasons.

It's as if everything post time-warp is a writer's free-for-all and at the end of season 7 when Susan/Hatcher wakes up in bed next to Gale Harold and it is revealed the whole time-warp was a dream then maybe others will be as disgusted as I am.

I will say it went from moderately good to terrible VERY fast so maybe there's a chance Cherry will buck up and write a few episodes himself, for once, and get it back on track. It's almost beyond the point of no return now, I fear.

It might be Mrs. McCluskey. Kathryn Joosten has lung cancer.

It isn't. Joosten has Cherry's word that she will never be killed off on the show. He is actually planning a spin-off for her and Lily Tomlin and apparently they have both agreed to do it.

5 people die this week. 2 are the pilot and his wife, the rest are characters we know (but none of the Bolens/de Matteo's "family").

Apparently, Lynette's baby has cerebral palsy which will be revealed in a fantasy sequence in a few weeks so maybe she will have an abortion though I highly doubt it. Too un-PC.

And anyway, the show doesn't have balls like that anymore. Once, maybe... not anymore. DH is no MAUDE.

The only thing keeping this on my DVR list is the strangler subplot. I'm sure it's either Orson or Tyler's friend Eddie but I'm not sure which. Probably the latter as it seems the kidnapper is shorter than Orson but it would make more sense for it to be Orson considering the victims have been red-heads (and he is obsessed with Bree) and he's batsh*t crazy. But I'm going with Eddie, as does the leading DH gossip site, just because it's the less interesting choice and DH is all about being boring these days. I'm not sure if I'm willing to watch for the next 6 months to find out, though.

Interesting thoughts. I love the show, and it hasn't entered my mind once that it's not good anymore. I will say that Carlos, going after Lynette is very out of his character.

Someone from day 1 on the show, is going to perish in the plane crash. Maybe, it's Carlos? Or Tom?

If it's a member of the cast from day one, my guess would be Julie. She's become dispensible.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is Katherine, Orson and Karl. It would pretty much wipe the slate clean with Bree's story (and get rid of the stupid jealousy subplot with Susan), which appears mostly to be painted into a corner of exhausting disbelief. I do agree there is nothing likable or even very interesting about Lynette any more. At this point, I really don't care who dies in the plane crash. I was sort of hoping it would be more than just the three.

Karl is dreamy, but he only exists as a way to antagonize Susan when the writers can't find anything else for her to do.

From season one the other original characters that are still on the show are Julie, Andrew, Mrs. McClusky and John. Julie, Andrew and Mrs. Mac live on the street and John was brought back this year. I'm not sure that Karl was shown on season one.

It's not so much a question of not having balls. I was not alive when Maude was on the air and only know a little bit about the episode. But Maude wasn't showing when she had her abortion and the baby was not kicking. Aborting her baby is probably illegal at this point. If the baby is developed enough to be kicking then it is way too late for a legal abortion.

Do both babies have CP or just one? She is having twins.

DH is so convoluted at this point, who even gives a S#@T! The writers have completed decimated any emotional content to the point where all the characters have dissolved into unsympathetic caricatures. Storylines are raised and dropped. I stopped watching last season, as it began to feel like a chore. I feel absolutely nothing when I watch the show. It is devoid of any heart or consistency. Such a shame as it was so strong in the beginning and has evolved into worthless melodrama with absolutely nothing to latch onto or invest in. I am easily stop watching for chunks at a time and then pick up anywhere-thats how lackluster and non-cohesive the writing is.

I was going to say she is pregnant with twins, right? She could miscarry and that would be the two other deaths.

I heard it's Karl, one of Lynette's twins and possibly Nick. He doesn't die in the plane crash, so that spoiler above is still accurate.

I bet Karl leaves his son to Susan because his wife walked out. It was originally supposed to be Orson, but he was too popular with the fans for some damn reason.

I'm still trying to figure out why pgenre is still watching a show he clearly has so much vehemence for. If I hate a show so much, I just don't watch it. I used to be a huge Heroes fan - and then it got dumber and dumber and finally I let go this season. It feels GOOD not to be tethered to watching something I just didn't enjoy HOPING it would get better.

I'm hoping it's not Karl - I actually am enjoying him this season. I'm wondering if it will be Carlos given how despicable they've been trying to make him this season. I find it hard to believe they would kill off one of the wives' kids as it would completely change the character who they seem so hell bent on not letting change sometimes.
