Absoluuuute GENIUS!!!! They totally nailed it. The final image of Jesus, Bush, and alot of poop had me falling out of my chair.
I saw it. I thought it was fitting how they do a show about censorship, and Comedy Central actually CENSORS them.
That final little cartoon was SO immature and stupid...so of course I couldn't stop giggling.
I did. Hysterical.
Weird thing is, I used to think South Park was the worst thing in the world. I didn't think it was funny AT ALL, and I thought it was boring, offensive BS. But, when it first came out, I was like.... twelve?
I've recently taken to watching the re-runs that are on late at night on the WB, and it's hysterical. Granted, you probably *shouldn't* be laughing at most of these things, but... it is funny.
I saw part 1 of it. What happened in part 2?
The bigger point of the final cartoon was showing the absurdity that the Viacom censors had no trouble showing Jesus crapping on the flag, but showing Muhammed at all was verboten. A pretty valid point.
saw it. i love south park. like emcee, i was only about 11 or 12 when it started but i loved it then too lol
Oh, I agree Calvin. South Park is very adept at making smart, valid points through the use of juvenile humor. And, really, Jesus taking a crap is ALWAYS funny.

The last 5 minutes I tried restraining myself from laughing and gave in and could not stop. I was laughing for like a minute after the episode ended. They have been pretty good these past few seasons!
I thought the censoring of Muhammed was done on purpose by the writers and creative team.
Nope. It was Comedy Central's decision to pull the image of Muhammad:

Nope. Comedy Central refused to allow them to show Muhammed.
Hold your breath for this one. I cannot believe I am linking to a Michelle Malkin column.

Here's my question:
How do we know it's a picture of Mohammed? If i draw a stick figure and write the word "Mohammed" under it, is it blasphemy?
If I then write the word "Ali" next to "Mohammed", and draw boxing gloves ont he stick figure's hands, is it no longer blasphemy? Was it just blasphemy for those few seconds?
How come it's OK to name your kid Mohammed? What if you drew a picture of your kid and said, "Look - I drew a picture of Mohammed.... no - I mean my son!!!!"
hah, I had no idea that's what was going on. How ironic. heh.
I know, nobody knows what Mohammad, or even Jesus, Moses, et al. looks like.
But on the subject of the Danish cartoons... Why is it that they were more upset about an image of Mohammed? They didn't have any complaints about the fact that it labeled him and Muslims as terrorists. Personally I think that would be more offensive.
That episode was HILARIOUS. I also loved how they had Cartman repeat that if a show has to pull one episode it is only a matter of time before the show is cancelled. It took me a little too long to get that they were making fun of the situation with the Scientology episode. That show manages to be so smart and so dumb at the same time. It's brilliant.
I thought the episode was brilliant. I also liked how they involved all the other cartoons from Fox as well...with "Family Guy" obviously, but also Bart Simpson, and the "King of the Hill" banner shown in the scene where Kyle and Cartman are slap-fighting.
I loved the scene of Bart and Cartman talking about the worst things they had done....Bart has nothing on Eric Cartman :)

Saw it. Loved it.
I questioned where South Park should really continue, whether Matt and Trey could keep it up. This season has definitely answered those questions, they're better than ever.
South Park has finally reached the level of the Simpsons of ten years ago. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are incredibly brilliant writers and satirists.

I've been really addicted to South Park lately, so I think I've managed to see every episode of the show. I will say without hesitation that this is probably one of the smartest and most well written shows on television. Anyone turned off by the crude humor is missing a lot. While yeah, as they say themselves, they can get a little "up their own asses" with their messages, the lengths they go to getting the point across are what keep me coming back time and time again.
The Cartoon Wars episode 1 kind of threw me for a loop. I thought it was a little boring. It had its usual zany South Park great moments, but all in all ehh.
Episode two started out the same except it just kept getting better. The manatees... Bart Simpson... and then the coup de grace was that ending bit. I was dying. God.
I love South Park. I think Family Guy used to be funnier though! Family Guy is starting to get lame though, and South Park only gets better.
Anybody watch Drawn Together?
