I'm not sure how I put words in your mouth when you say things like "You post these (sometimes) ridiculous posts, and really you need to start living life. Suggestion, cut that hair first."

Essentially, you said "Start living your life. And start that living by cutting your hair." You said it, toots, not me.

As usual, Elphaba, you say something ridiculous and then get indignant about it when someone calls you on it. I thought you blocked me, anyway.

Okay, I'm pretty sure Steve is going to have to come in and arbitrate this.

hmmm, maybe Cruel is writing a book, a book of BWW posts. Wouldn't that be a kick in the rubber parts?

I'm thinking perhaps there should be a Cruel_Sandwich thread, where he can post all his questions in one place.

Take a shower, put on clean clothes, run a brush through your hair and go outside. Get involved in things you are passionate about. Even if you are shy you can still be engaging.

Don't walk around thinking you are THAT unique and tragically misunderstood. It ain't all about you. The I'm-too-special-for-the-real-world attitude won't fly once you graduate, need to earn a living and take care of yourself. You'll need actually to interact and get along with people.

We tried that once. Unfortunately he never utilized it.

I dont know anything about cruel, but if he's in college I would think it might be easier to meet people than it usually is.

If this is a serious issue he should talk to someone about it. Then again if he doesnt have any friends, I guess that also means there is no one to push him to do that.

Jane, it isn't true! To fill that quota, you've got to...I don't know...save an ailing lizard that you find in your laundry room corner or something.

I can't tell you how much it frustrates me that he poses this question, then doesn't come back to, I don't know, TALK ABOUT IT. Whether it's a rhetorical question or not, it bothers me.

C_S, half the battle of getting and keeping real friends is just showing up. Maybe you can practice on the threads you start here.

I choose to believe that the Cruel_Sandwich who posts all these attention-seeking threads and then never returns is a character for the real Cruel_Sandwich's senior thesis film.

God, if anyone ever accuses me of being a heartless bitch again I will just direct them to this thread.

Give the guy a break. If you don't believe him or don't give a **** then don't post here.

Why don't people jump all over the other people who obviously post these sort of threads as an attention grabber? And there are plenty!

PEACE.

A few of us have given him chances, Sueleen, and he never seems to show up or take us up on our offers. It's extraordinarily frustrating to see the self-pity and self-absorption of people who say they want to do something about it, but clearly don't want to actually have to do something to get what they want.

The only reason I'm so tough is because I think Cruel and I are a lot alike and I am suffering from the same problems he is. But you've got to get off your ass and at least TRY and, while I don't always succeed, I do try. I want him to try, too, but instead he just sits around and starts threads here that make people think he is a tortured soul and deserves everyone's pity instead of making a go at living.

Are you listening, Cruel_Sandwich? The reason I type all this is because I kind of care about what happens to you and you are clearly troubled and I want you to freaking take your life in your hands rather than wait for someone else to show you the way or for everyone else to adjust to you. It's not going to happen and I can tell you that from personal experience.

I don't have any bww friends, only real life friends. Though there are people that I have met in real life who have bww accounts but we don't interact on the boards. And then there are also people here who I appreciate for their knowledge/kindness/humor but it isn't the same thing.

"Why don't people jump all over the other people who obviously post these sort of threads as an attention grabber? And there are plenty!"

Because it is annoying, and we are not therapists.

Considering you, sueleen, have slowly become the nastiest poster on these boards, I have a hard time taking your compassion seriously. A lecture on tolerance from you is meaningless.
