Crockpots! OOOOO we usta make "grog" in ours and had many a pleasant winter evening.
I remember hotplates being banned. I didn't even know what they were until I found out I couldn't have one.

I never understood why hot plates were banned in our dorms, but coffee makers were allowed. It's pretty much the same technology in terms of the warming plate.
Putting paper against the heat source of a coffee maker won't start a flame. Putting anything against a hot plate will.
Yay! Glad the AirPort did it. Disney charges like $10 a day unless you are a Vacation Club member, which we are, but it's only for one connection. When you have a big room, there are ethernet ports in the main room and the bedrooms. You have to pay for each one that connects. The AirPort was a lifesaver.
When I was at college I was in one of the few dorms that actually had a wifi hook up to the campus's network. Other students would have had to use an ethernet cable to get online. Personally, I never had a problem getting online via the internal airport card that is in my Macbook. Other then the rare chance where the whole network was down, I never had a problem getting online. Of course, at least for me, all the places where I would go online anyway were places that were campus wifi hotspots.
