Anyone watching Glee tonite?

It needs to be punched up a bit. Matt Morrison is too vanilla. If he stays that mellow, then they are really going to have to boost the eccentricity of the other characters.
I suggested in the other thread that they should write Loretta Devine into the show. Maybe as the black girl's bossy stage mother. But they have to do something to give the show a shot in the arm.

I wouldn't want to see the bossy stage mother thing. No offense, but I think it would, for lack of a better term, cheapen the show.
I really enjoyed the show. The out of sync production numbers were a bit annoying though. I too am a big Journey/Steve Perrt fan and I really enjoyed "Don't Stop Beleivin'". I was thinking, as they were doing it, that I wished I had taped it so I could transfer the songs to CD. Now I can get them online!

I thought it was cute.
However as a former cheerleading coach, I would like to say that the cheer coach's portrayal was ridiculous. But not unexpected.

"New Directions"? Charming. I'm assuming that was intentional...
I enjoyed it, though. I can't get the songs out of my head now.

Hope the show is a hit!

All right, I'm just gonna say it. Lea Michele was by far the best thing about that show.

Posted: 5/20/09 at 9:02amWe really enjoyed it, though the funniest line of the whole thing was the line in the preview from the cheerleading coach: "That's the most offensive thing I've ever seen, and that includes an elementary school production of Hair."

I thought it was okay at best. It might improve, I guess. A few too many gay jokes, I thought. I just felt the whole show was trying too hard to be clever. Although I did love the Rehab number.
I'm as big a fan of Jane Lynch as anyone but I found her performance just plain monotonous.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with shameless and proclaim that Jane Lynch, the girl's gym coach is the best thing about this show.

LOL! Pippin, I think Jane Lynch has the potential to be the best thing about the show.
Btw, is anyone else less than impressed with the jock's voice?

"Btw, is anyone else less than impressed with the jock's voice?"
shameless, I don't think he has the greatest voice, but I thought he was fine for the context of the show. In an average high school setting I think he'd be considered a pretty decent singer.

I thought the same thing, Shameless. I expected a more powerful voice.
