Ashlee Simpson

OK, so I know she has nothing to do with Broadway (and let's hope she never ever does, ever!) but this is so worth watching, I had to share with y'all. Please please please watch this vid, it's about 45 seconds. Only sleeping with John Tartaglia could make me happier than seeing Ashlee getting booed by 72,000 people:

It's really sad when that many people lack the class necessary to respect a live performer, regardless of talent.

Well I must admit I'm not a fan of hers, but not just her in particular, I'm biased so I stick to my musical theatre CDs, but I don't hate her.And I'm surprised at thee fans though. I mean, if Kristin had an off day I wouldn't boo her!!
Some fans that's all I gotta say.
And she must be upset.
So it is rather humiliating and sad.

There are some things I will never comprehend, such as why do little children die of cancer and how can Ashlee Simpson have a fan? You know, people booing at a complete phoney who can't carry a tune in a bucket, who is NOTHING but a market creation of a svengali father trying to reach a different niche than his daughter the Christian Angel of Light Blonde Jessica and who comes up with the dark haired younger sister Ashlee, whether she likes it or not, do not show a lack of class. People booing at that fake talentless hack shows discerment.

In Shakespeare's era, the people in the front rows booed and threw things when performances were bad. Opera afficianados, people who LOVE opera, boo when a performer puts in a sub par performance. Booing that abysmal whatever the hell that was that Ashlee did at the Orange Bowl was the only correct thing to do. If anything Mr. Simpson should finally have learned, you can NOT fool even some of the people all of the time. It's over for Ashlee, and not just because of the Milli Vanilli moment, but because it is a SCAM, it has been completely revealed to BE a scam and people are just tired of being fed this utter garbage.

How you can be a fan of this child parading around in front of an Anarchy symbol, I just, the mind reels. She is the worst example of what is horrible about the prefab culture so many youth markets have bought into. Alas, you seem to be among them. I'd boo you if I could.

I see it as maybe a sign that our culture is getting tired of this prefabricated crap that the RIAA and entertainment industry is throwing at us today. I like John Popa's comment about feces because I feel like that's what is being thrown at us. I hope this is a warning shot to the industry that they are heading for failure if they keep "creating" entertainment like Ashlee Simpson. They haven't seemed to figure that out yet with the file sharing fiasco they are trying to battle though so who knows.

Apparently she is not the ONLY performer who consistently sucks in live performances. She sure is three for three since SNL.

Ya know what, one thing people always say around here to excuse a multitude of sins of capitalism is "it's called show BUSINESS because it's a business." Well, you know what, the customers have spoken, they've found the product to be vastly inferior (which is really saying something, 72,000 people said this was a BAD HALF TIME SHOW, which sounds redundant but they were saying this was BADDER THAN USUAL) and they are no longer interested in this product.

Mark my words, Ashlee's tour will not be completed, if it happens at all. You are the weakest link, Ashlee Simpson. Goodbye.

Ashlee has never been a good singer. her vocal flubs on her "show" proved that, as we all know.

She had it coming. It's her own fault. and her dad's for letting her, or probly making her do it.


Maybe if they fired their lame-excuse-for-a-manager father who has been called the worst kind of stage parent and hired a vocal coach and maybe they wouldn't be so awful.

But then again, I could be wrong. They could just suck all together.

Looks like poor little Ashlee's "I'll release this song so I scream it and not lip-sync! Like, yay!"

I understand what you're saying, but I have to disagree. Completely. I don't have a problem with her voice. In fact, I think that she can sing better than a lot of current recording artists. Forget SNL. When she is not screaming or trying to reach disastrously high notes (I don't know why she chose 'LaLa' as her next single, by the way), she can sound really good.

PS - I don't know whether you meant it this way or not, but to suggest that Ashlee couldn't possibly have a fan is belittling to those who actually enjoy her.
