Many Asians in general (speaking superficially here) are thin, smooth, twinkish, which is not everyone's taste. I am a female claiming no particular sexual orientation. I have found myself attracted to Asian folks before, but only famous ones b/c in real life I don't know many Asian people. Pittsburgh is not exactly the mecca of cultural diversity. Anyway - I am mixed race, Italian and African American. I used to get a lot of crap from family members telling me to date more black guys, the only problem is that the handful of black guys I knew were either related to me or we grew up together. I think there was a need for me to step outside of that group and even then my options felt limited. Not every white boys' parents want them dating a little biracial chick - Whatever.

As for gay men - the issue is the same with the hetero world - we are just starting to put black people on tv where they aren't pigeonholed as slaves or housekeepers,etc. Look how long it took one of the FRIENDS to get a black girlfriend? (although, i suppose to their credit Ross did have an Asian girlfriend pretty early in the show) We have strides to go folks - even with the Will&Grace/Queer Eye gay culture boom - Jai is about as ethnic as it gets with Queer folks in the public eye.

so in conclusion - you could be the asian (insert the hottest celeb you know here) and it wouldn't make a difference b/c white america is too scared to put you out there as the beautiful being that you are, in turn, the rest of world (and this is a general statement - i know that as individuals we are all different) has yet to realize your awesomeness too...

I've found, on occassion, Asian men hot. Not as a rule. More like a case-by-case basis. Kinda the way I find other folks hot.

However I do have a fascinating, if offensive, story. If you do find this story too offensive, please pm me and I will delete it. But it was just such a strange experience, I thought I'd share.

Picture it, New Year's Eve, 2001. My friends and I, feeling no pain, were partying afterhours at a restaurant/bar in the East Village. My dear friend Liz came upstairs and demanded that we go into the ladies room to see a most remarkable sight. Like lemmings off the cliff, we follow. There, in the last stall, scrawled desperately in lipstick is the phrase:

'I can't bear the fact that I want to f*ck an Asian.'

We screamed.

Poor girl needs to put things in perspective.

I have always found B.D. Wong to be very hot. I also find my friend Dean to be very hot. But, as Robbie said, the hot factor is on a case by case basis for me.

Asian men are often very hot. I find many filipino, thai, japanese men attractive. I am an irish-italian guy, have dated a few asian guys, and found it very fun. If the guy has a personality and shares interests with me....I think a Asain guy could be a sexy, attractive bf.
