Back! And I can tell by the the constant "where's tb?" every other post, that you guys missed me a great deal.
Anyeway, so Rath quit? How sad. I'm very glad 86 is back though. Anything else monumental happen?
Yeah. Rath came back.
Tiff gave birth to sextuplets! We don't know who they belong to...

Wait. Rath came back? Huh?
Yes...and 86 is staying...so we now have ELEVEN contestants!!!

Wow. My reading comprehension DOES suck.
Why am I in AP English?
It's like, my comments about Rath quitting, 86 returning, and Rath returning - they were ALL in the same post, people! It's not about reading comprehension. It's about reading. Period.
<-- PMSing. Forgive me.
So folks, another update - Diva's dropped out of the contest.
But JACXR is still not allowed to.
That is all.
GAAHHHH!!!! I totally should have just followed their lead and not said anything until now...
ETA - In all seriousness, TDiva, I'm very sorry to hear that - I've really enjoyed listening to you
I'm sorry guys. I have college auditions coming up really soon and have not been working on my classical repertoire like I should be. I've been spending too much time on all of this stuff. I've been sick for 2 weeks and haven't been to school, so I'm also very behind in that. I have had a great time with all of you though. I also wish everyone the best of luck. I <3 you guys! xoxox <3 TD
NO, cuz I would have had to enlist our dearest internet stalker extraordinaire Beacon to come after you had you dropped out.. And if that doesn't put the fear of god in you, there is something seriously wrong with you JAC

Aww, Diva. I was looking forward to hearing you, after seeing what Jaily said about your clip earlier. But I agree that college auditions are more important! *hugs Diva*
Lol - point taken, cam, I'll shut up now
Well, it's been a very dramatic day, but at least we're back to the right number now, making it much easier on the judges.
OY!!!
I am sick of people dropping out, or letting this contest control them. It is for fun. Do your best on a song, yes.
But it should be taking you maybe an hour to do this. Sing it two or three times and send it in. The four hours, or allowing this to overtake your life, is too much.
I thought you might see things my way.. Glad we are on the same page.. Other than that it's all love baby!
Aw come on, SP, what's an Idol contest without people getting all diva and "this is taking over my life!"
You didn't expect it to just be people singing, did you?
JAC- I didn't say it was taking over my entire life, I just said I need to be spending more time on my college audition repertoire.
Penguin, it's not that easy. Once we have the theme, we have to find a song, which could mean singing a few of them into a tape recorder to see if we can find one that might work for our voices. Then we have to learn the song, rehearse it, and since none of us have studios and engineers, they have to be recorded in one long live take - no stopping and starting and fixing. When it's recorded, as opposed to a live stage performance, you hear every nuance, every mistake, every not-perfectly-performed note. This is a competition and we all want to be as perfect as possible. An hour is completely unrealistic.
Word, sp78. I understand that people spend hours on this and I appreciate the effort - no one can say I don't spend hours working on this too. But it's not NECESSARY to spend hours or days on a song. And JFTR, when it gets down the final few people, the songs increase to two per "show".
And to clarify, this isn't to diminish the effort that people go through - I think the people who spend hours on it are pretty discernable from the people who don't. I'm just saying I'd rather someone submit a ****ty clip for one round than to quit. It pisses ME off because I've spent so much time to work out the rounds and the themes that it's as if it's taken forgranted.
Oh no Diva, that wasn't directed at you, sorry - ask any of the judges, I've been trying to drop out ever since the contest started. I just meant in general...I used the word 'diva' without thinking
We're not letting JACXR quit, JFTR. And it's not REALLY showing favortism either, but at this point, the lack of consideration and total selfishness of some people is getting me raw.
Plus I love JAC. Okay, so it's a BIT of favortism.
Marry me?
Tiff, the whole point of a scandalous judge love affair is that it's supposed to remain secret
But, how can I resist. You know I'm yours...
back off Tiff!!! YOu go whore yourself elsewhere!
