Well, I leave for a couple of hours and look what the cat dragged in.
There's no reason to defend myself, as it's quite clear that Oscar's already made up his/her/its mind, even as a "newbie", as well, I really couldn't care less what he/she/it thinks of me. (And joining in on the speculation of whose sock this may be, I don't think it's RodneyK because he's always been very kind to me.) BST has said all that needs to be said regarding the Bitches thread.
As for my "hatred" of Ellie, well, one should not speak of things that one does not know, but I'm flattered that you either took the time out of your certainly busy schedule yesterday to follow along, or else researched what was a dead thread this morning. The time you've taken to construct your post certainly speaks volumes about yourself and your character.
Finally, Oscar, I leave you with a word of thanks. Your post reminded me exactly of what I love about this board. I can say with all sincerity that I've never proclaimed or perceived myself to be full of wit and cleverness. In fact, I come on here to gain knowledge and humor from others and aspire to learn and grow from them. I'm genuinely honored that you listed me amongst such a fantastic variety of posters on here, many of whom I consider friends, and all of whom I consider extremely valuable contributions to the BWW community. By listing me on your SH*T list with these individuals, you've convinced me that perhaps my presence here isn't entirely in vain, if I've contributed even an ounce of what most of these people have. If not for those truly wise and witty veteran members, Adam Pascal "lofe"-seekers, Bitches and others, this forum wouldn't be what it is today; a thriving and expanding online community.
You say that it's hard for newbies to jump into the threads. I disagree. If you took as much time as you used to construct your original post to actually look at the range of active posters on here, you'd realize that newbies are embraced here as long as they positively contribute to the boards. If you've been rejected, perhaps it's because of a certain je ne sais quoi that we couldn't put our collective finger on before. Thanks to your post, we know now what your problem is.
Your post has actually brought us closer together, and I've seen people on here who I've never seen interact with each other before. I think this thread is the start of a beautiful communal BWW clique. And it's one you'll likely still be left out of. I'd say nothing personal. But, actually, it is.
