Yes, I agree. As I am not with him anymore and much happier! (and it was even worse during football season with the packers and basketball season with the bucks. Thank goodness Brett Farve and Ray Allen were hot!)

Ah, the Milwaukee Conflicts of Interest. Always one of my least favorite teams thanks to the Selig connection. Though now that that's pretty much severed, I don't hate them as much.

I would like to think that we can get our act together tonight and avoid the sweep by St. Louis. Somehow, I don't see it happening though.

I haven't been up to snuff of news w/ other teams lately...what's up w/ Nomar lately? I remember hearing about that wicked groin injury early in the season, but haven't really heard anything recently. Is he coming back? Done for the season?

He's starting rehab soon, and hopes he can be back with the team this season. Whether or not that's possible is up in the air.

Ahhh, thanks for the update, Plum. I hadn't heard anything since the inital reports of the injury, but then again, I haven't really checked up on it either. I feel bad for him. It sounded awful!

Yeah, it sounded nasty. He needed surgery and a month's rest after that, which is why the rehab should be starting around now.

Blech...I tried watching some of it on gameday at work, but it got too sad, too fast for me to justify screwing off for the 3rd day in a row!

What's up w/ Bronson? He started off doing so well. Even the games he lost/got no decisions on were typically well-pitched games, where he just didn't get run support. This was just plain ugly. Knocked out by the 4th!?!? *shakes head*

Enjoy the game tomorrow, brdlwyr. I hope you have better weather there than we've been having. I'm all primed for a break from the mugginess and random thunder storms that have been taking over here lately.

The forcast is hot and steamy. I am taking my friend from Boston who is an obvous Red Sox fan as well as a client and his son. I do not relly know the client well, but work with his colleague almost daily. I try to limit the business talk and use the game to develop relationships.

Yeah, twas a tight game. I was hoping we'd pull through w/ our little rally in the 9th *sigh*...Props to Wade Miller for getting two hits though (despite pitching a less, than stellar outing on the mound)!!

I can not tell you how much fun the Cubs/Red Sox was yesterday. It was like a playoff game. There were thousands of Red Sox fans. We were frightened with Zambrono giving up 4 runs in the first two innings, but the Cubs came screaching back, but nearly blew is in the ninth. Much fun and the Red Sox fans were not obnoxious, but a lot of fun. (sorry Liotte!)

I don't really care how long any of their hair/facial or otherwise is, but I do think the highlights were a bit much!
