I think he's old and just starting to show it. *shrug* We picked him up at the wrong time. Maybe he'll pick it up again; who knows. Clemens did, but having a good defense behind you helps, and the Yankees defense stinks in a myriad of ways.

From the games I've been to, Randy has been given a good welcome. I've only seen him pitch a couple games this season though (in person I mean)

Hoorah!!! Big wins for everyone!!! Pity Baltimore won as well (or at least they were when I peeked in earlier)...would have been nice to have picked up some ground. Oh well, at least we didn't loose any!

I was neurotic even in the days when the Yankees could seemingly do no wrong. This season I'm turning into a gibbering mess. If they're playing a good team, I'm convinced they have no chance. If they're playing a mediocre team, I'm sure they'll blow it. And if they're playing a bad team, I'm certain they won't take it seriously enough.

In other words, I always think they're going to lose. I'm a pre-2004 Boston fan stuck in a Yankee fan's body.

We'll see. The fact that I think the Yankes will lose doesn't mean I don't hope they'll win. Or that I don't realize, realistically, that they should be able to take at least one game in this series.

The first game will be problematic because of Zambrano. I mean, I like Pavano, but the Yankees' lineup just isn't very good. The second game is even worse- Rusch is a lefty, and Wang has had problems lately. But we have Mussina coming up on Sunday, and his last start was a five-hit shutout. Who do you have then? Maddux? ESPN isn't saying.

I am not sure with Prior and Wood out - Koronka pitched the other day. Mitre has been amazing. Maddux was shelled yesterday. I saw Zambrano pitch on Saturday. He gave up three runs in the first and another in the second, but won the game.

Grr. I remember the Yanks' last game against Wood- it was Clemens' attempted 300th victory, blown in one pitch by the Run Fairy, Juan Acavedo. What a disaster after a great pitching duel.
