Sox in the AL would be fun Please say you mean White Sox.
Okay, as long as we're making bold predictions, who are you calling for the Cy Young and MVP races? I mean who
will win, not who should.
AL MVP: The three big Yankees- Sheffield, Rodriguez, and Giambi- aren't getting it for varying reasons, not least of which is the fact that they're Yankees. Though A-Rod probably deserves it. Anyway, Manny, Vlad, Texiera and Ortiz could all have cases. I'm going to go with Vlad, just because.
NL MVP: Derrek Lee and Albert Pujols look like good candidates right now. Maybe Andruw Jones? Miguel Cabrera might be in the race, too. I'll say Pujols because people have been predicting an MVP for him for years, and writers love vindicating themselves.
AL Cy: Mark Buehrle. Whose name, by the way, I spelled incorrectly in 3 different ways before figuring it out.
NL Cy: A bit harder. Roger Clemens, as mentioned before, has an absolutely insane 1.38 ERA right now. And he's Roger Clemens, which is practically synonymous with "Cy Young" in voters' minds. Chris Carpenter, though, has the wins. And oh, how the writers love wins. Sabermetrically he's only a bit behind Clemens, performance-wise, but I doubt most voters look that deep. I'll say Carpenter by a nose. Actually, more like a hair.
