Maybe tomorrow! It's a long season. :) Which can be cool or depressing, depending on your point of view, but right now I'm choosing to look on the bright side of things.
Why the hell can't they beat the bleeping Devil Rays and Royals? WHY? I mean, I realize the Yanks are mediocre this year, but those teams stink! That's the difference between their current position and first place right there. Dammit dammit dammit. They'd better win today.
I know the White Sox haven't been doing that well, but Yankees fought them hard in the last series they played, too. Yet somehow the Devil Rays and Royals, two of the worst teams out there, give New York conniptions. They've got 9 games left against those teams, mixed in with a lot of Seattle, Oakland, Baltimore, and Toronto. If the Yanks want the Wild Card, they're going to have to fight for it tooth and nail. I don't like their chances, but what can I do except cheer them on?
Have fun at Wrigley. :) I'm going to try to make it to the Stadium one more time before I leave for school, but I'm not sure it's possible. Ah, well. If our teams get eliminated, we can at least take malicious pleasure from altering the playoff prospects of others.
Actually, causing baseballs to fly in the air by means of arm or bat is just a bad, bad idea unless you're at least 150 feet or so from the nearest easily damaged structure.
Plum, that has been the mode the Braves operate in for years, except for the immenent playoff cloapse against a better team. I also have been banned from being near a ball or bat indoors, or near a building. Ah well, the Yanks seem to be creeping back into it. so all is well! (mostly)
Heh. I've managed to cause damage with a friggin' Pink Pong ball, which is so insubstantial you can get hit with one full force and hardly feel a thing.
I understand that type of destruction Plum. My friend and I back in college used to play ball inside at any opportunity... we definitely knocked a NERF football into a light fixture and caused a huge section of the ceiling to come crashing down.
yessss. now, will the real randy johnson please stand up?
